Incoming presidents have the promise of signings and players lined up before they fully take control is my guess. How was he offered to Laporta at the start of the season when Laporta only became President this year, 2021?
Basically, he's good on the ball but a defensive weak point when he plays. He's on the bench more often than not behind Palomino (better defender) and only starts when Atalanta need more attacking threat from their defenders.Any good ?
Apart from heading the ball that is.

Aha I thought you had a source. Interested as the data deviate from the official stats.I don't know, you can ask Smarterscout and The Athletic instead if you have question not me.
The point is Lindelof is sucks aerially and Varane is better aerially than him.

I think you get fooled by what you call “ranking”.
Looking at Percentage won aerial duels, Varane is better than Lindelof. 74.5% versus 68.9% over last 365 days.
Looking at number of Won aerials they have exactly the same figures, 2.43 won aerials per game.
Tax is taken out of gross. Not tax added to net.
The £350,000 I quoted will be his gross wages, not net. Your figures are still off.
That’s why you can’t look at individual tournaments where a player played a few matches. See example below where I posted the data you excluded:I just told you, the source is Smarterscout. The picture showed the name.
When a player had 76% and 66% and no below 50%, that's good. When a player had 28% and 44%, that's questionable and sucks. Varane > Lindelof aerially.
I think you might want to do a little bit of research then.Your owners spending big on great players again. Dont understand the hate they get from some United fans.
What this tells me is that Varane doesn't get aerially bombarded like Lindelöf does. Lindelöf, at the start, really struggled but improved before stagnating. Varane, however, has yet to be tested as much as our defenders do, aerially. I think that could surprise him, but he should be able to adjust given his athleticism. That’s why you can’t look at individual tournaments where a player played a few matches. You need a big amount of data otherwise it is pointless.
The data provided bellw include all matches in the league plus matches in international cups.
Aerials won%
Varane 74.5% ranking 93%
Lindelof 68.9% ranking 75%
That means Varane won %wise more aerials than 93% of all Europe’s CBs. Lindelof won more aerials %wise than 75% of Europe’s CB. So both have high figures in that sense. However looking at actual output, number of won aerials, they are both average:
Varane 2.43 won aerials per game
Lindelof 2.43 won aerials per game
Both rank as 45% among Europe’s CBs in that measure.

That could absolutely be one explanation. I think From watching him play, I would say he is not a player who goes in to many duels, but when he does he is good. Could be he only goes in to duels he is sure of winning, or he is more about defending the space around and behind him instead of focusing everything on the opponent with the ball. What this tells me is that Varane doesn't get aerially bombarded like Lindelöf does. Yes I posted it to show you that you can’t look at small data sets as you did. And instead I gave you the stats over the last 365 days. What big amount? Varane only played 1 game in 19/20 Copa Del Rey. 42.86% aerially in 1 game doesn't justify player's ability.
Jermaine 'research' Jenas has found the Caf.Your owners spending big on great players again. Dont understand the hate they get from some United fans.
The reason people should hate the glazers is because of the dividends and the lack of investment into old Trafford. Anytime someone complains about transfers I roll my eyes and they've even invested a lot in youth recently. Then you have the financially unaware people who thing that the debt is an issueYour owners spending big on great players again. Dont understand the hate they get from some United fans.

No its a too small data set (9 aerials in total) to make a reliable evaluation.67% is better than 44% and we can look at them because 5 UCL games is justified enough for comparison. 5 games is 5x more than 1 game.
No its a too small data set (9 aerials in total) to make a reliable evaluation.
Anyway, I gave you the data for everything lumped together so we don’t need to discuss this further.
It’s the number of aerials (9 aerials in total) that is too small to calculate a reliable % won aerials in a representative way. Number of matches is irrelevant in that sense. If we are comparing 5 games vs 20 games or plus, of course it's too small data set. 9 games vs 5 games are not too small but actually comparable. It's more than 3 games which more than enough for comparison in cup competition. The data shows Varane > Lindelof.
He is way better than Maguire and infinitely more established.Personally don’t think he should be paid more than Maguire, he should be matched up with him and take it or leave it.
Sky Italia... so no it's notLet's hope that is a legit source as that will get the ball rolling to complete this signing

Let me give you an example.
Lindelof played 29 PL matches last season. He scored a goal on 25% of all his shots/headers.
Maguire scored goals on 5% of all his shots/headers.
Does that mean Lindelof is superior at goal scoring?
No because Lindelof only had 4 shots and 1 was goal. Maguire had 2 goals in 36 shots. 4 shots is a too small data set, regardless of number of games.
edit/ we are very off topic now so I will leave it here.
They're actually very good. They're way better than Sky in England and also slightly better than Sky in Germany.Sky Italia... so no it's not
Would you expect them to know much about a french player moving from Spain to England? They're actually very good. They're way better than Sky in England and also slightly better than Sky in Germany.
