Suited France's 4-2-3-1 though?

Did they really use that formation? Rabiot and Kante there beside him. Also, a player can look good and not be ideal for the team. Also; Kante.

This train is running out of steam and needs more fuel!!!
The money stories are still with Euro 2020, with England doing so well.

Once that's over and the week of celebrations (if they win it) are done - United's pre-season will be underway and all the focus will go to who Manchester United will be signing

Going to need some it’s getting closer tweets today. Keep the flame burning.

--------------Henderson
AWB--Varane--Maguire--Shaw
----------Fred----Camavinga
Sancho----Bruno--Rashford
---------------Cavani

It’s a very strong side and Cavani and possibly Fred aside, those players should all be in or around their peak in 3 years time.

That said, I do feel like these days more than ever it’s “Strong first XI win matches, strong squad wins titles”.

Spot on. It's why City managed to coast the league.

Camavinga won't be a main starter next season, he is only 18 and will take a bit of time to get up to speed with the PL.

Fred and McTominay will still start as the 2 CDM's for now.

Does anyone know if Real could be interested in Phil Jones and Andreas Pereira as well ? :)

No seriously -. if they want Dalot - what would be a fair price ? £30 million + Dalot for Varane?

Why would Real want Dalot

If he was good enough to play for Real Madrid we would keep him. He isn't very good.

I don't think they'd be interested but the bolded bit isn't necessarily true. We've sold/loaned them Heinze and Chicarito in the past, despite them no longer having a place in our starting lineup. Some players just take to La Liga differently than the PL.

This is absolutely true and cannot be said enough. Horses for courses is a thing and what works well in La Liga doesn't necessarily work as well in the Premiership and viceversa.

Let’s hope we bed him in better than VDB which was really the gold standard in how to make it hard for a new joiner....

We wont play 2 CDMs if we sign Varane

I'm desperate for us to sign Varane - much more so than other CB's linked this summer and last.

It's not just ability - although he's had plenty of that and still has it - but he's the kind of experienced winner that we need on the pitch and in the dressing room.

We've been linked with some good younger CB's - early 20's - who are talented and would be good signings. But I think Varane's the kind of big personality that we need to add to our young squad that keeps falling just short of delivering trophies.

I want to fully board this train but because he is my dream CB signing it's hard to get fully invested

Real apparently want DVB too so maybe offer DVB and Dalot for Varane which will leave us plenty of money for a midfielder.

Rashfords carrying an injury, hardly played and plays in a system (slower build up instead of countering) thats not ideal.

Torres is fit, played every game and has looked average.

Slight difference.

I don't want United spending £50m+ unless it's a clear upgrade.

Maybe he showed better form for his club but surely he should be better again playing with internationals.

£30m as a rotation, yes.

£50m up, nah.
As i said at the outset, let's hope Varane is the right choice. I happen to think Torres will be as good as Pique in the future

I think this could potentially happen but I can’t get too invested as I’m certain it will drag on for ages.
