Obvious issues with the manager
Eventually when you seems to have a problem with basically everyone, maybe you’re the problem?
Are you suggesting Sancho has been less mediocre than anyone else playing in his position? He’s easily one of the worst signings we’ve ever made. He's obviously fallen out with the manager, and has been the case for a few weeks.
That's him and Sancho out of the reckoning, and some decidedly mediocre players in their place because they're "committed". Makes you think about the manager.
Ten Hag doesn't rate his ball playing ability so that's probably what they've fallen out over. He's not great at it but he's our best defender so it doesn't make sense to fall out with him because he can't play the ball forward well.Another one on Eth's list. And it is strange that ETH has issues with players who he praised all the time as a true leader and shit.
Im not sure, Varane I think can only play RCB. Ten Hag wants Maguire at RCB despite what Maguire wants. Lindelof has played LCB quite a bit. So I think that's the logic behind it, maybe compounded by a fall out.So it's clear now that the 'tactical' reasons excuse was bullshit.
It's a shame, he's our best defender and now we won't be seeing him play for us again.
Varane the other day costing us a goal with that certainly doesn't do Varane any favours.Ten Hag doesn't rate his ball playing ability so that's probably what they've fallen out over. I'm not even a big fan of Varane and I think he's been a fairly meh signing, but he's our best defender while Martinez is out and it doesn't make sense to just fall out with him because he can't play the ball out well enough, especially when your backup is Maguire, Lindelöf and Evans. I have no problems with him being sold but maybe try and make it work with him until the summer? I don't see how falling out with our only decent defender in November is conducive to winning football games.Varane the other day costing us a goal with that certainly doesn't do Varane any favours.
Really like Varane and think he was our best CB last season, but very poor this season and think has lost a yard.
We don't know if/why they've fallen out. Like I said I am a huge fan of Varane but who knows what's going on. I do think there could be a genuine footballing reason behind it.I'm not even a big fan of Varane and I think he's been a fairly meh signing, but he's our best defender while Martinez is out and it doesn't make sense to just fall out with him because he can't play the ball out well enough, especially when your backup is Maguire, Lindelöf and Evans. Last year he was excellent. With both Lisandro and Lindelof. He's never shown an elite level whilst he's been here, I think United fans need to wake up and realise he's not been good enough. Martinez was better than him, and he isn't a world class player.
Might be wrong but didn't he imply that he just doesn't rate Varane on the left side of defence because of passing options? We don't know if/why they've fallen out. Like I said I am a huge fan of Varane but who knows what's going on. I do think there could be a genuine footballing reason behind it.
Yes but Ten Hag has always been reluctant to move Maguire backMight be wrong but didn't he imply that he just doesn't rate Varane on the left side of defence because of passing options?
On a side note, didn't Maguire used to play the left centre back role for us when Ole was manager or am i not remembering that right? Or was it Lindelof? At any rate some managers are very particular about this.
I still think it's probably more of an argument that's happened behind the scenes judging by his 'performance' on Wednesday.
Maybe because they question his authority? I would feck off the lot of them because of that. No matter what they think of his coaching ability, what he says goes, if someone doesn't like it, they can feck off out of the club.Reports are Ten Hag and Varane fell out after the City game. You've got to ask how the manager is managing to keep falling out with players at an alarming rate
I wouldn't say excellent. He had excellent periods, but also poor/average periods, in amongst also missing a lot of games through injury. Overall he was no better than 'good' last season, even ignoring the injuries.Last year he was excellent. With both Lisandro and Lindelof.
So you'd run the club like a school from the 1950's? You're allowed to disagree or ask questions regarding feedback you've received or the tasks you've been asked to perform. The result in doing that shouldn't be "get the feck out then". The manager also has a responsibility to listen to the feedback he's receiving from his players.Maybe because they question his authority? I would feck off the lot of them because of that. I doubt he is falling out because of regular "feedback". He probably thinks he is above them all because of all his Real Madrid trophies and should be guaranteed first team spot.So you'd run the club like a school from the 1950's? As for Varane, if he was getting played, you’d be on here complaining about how the manager has no balls to drop names even though they’re not performing. He has had a very average season interrupted with injuries so far and if he really is looking to go to the Saudi League, he has no place in the starting lineup.
I’m not pro ten Hag at all, in fact I thought he’d be sacked by now but this isn’t the stick to beat him with
Erik is probably just pissed with how often Varane is injured. You can't plan with a player like that. Clear the likes of him and Casemiro off and rebuild. Properly.Behind Evans, Maguire, Lindelof and assumably Martinez now. Not sure how you fall out with a guy like Varane but I imagine he leaves in January.
So did EtH.Tried saying in summer we needed to replace him with Kim Min-jae but got told otherwise.
So a single season is now years is it?Not sure why people are speculating about issues between Ten Hag & Varane
Varane was injured, Maguire played well so stayed in the team
Then Evans and Maguire have a solid partnership after playing together for years
Not sure why this is so controversial really
With Evans out and Varane not covering himself in glory midweek, will be interesting to see who starts v Luton

Three players are hardly everyone, don't be dramatic. If Varane can't handle competition and expects to be in the first team no matter what, that is his problem.
He did, indeed I think Maguire has played way more games for us at LCB than RCB and of course that's where he plays for England as wellMight be wrong but didn't he imply that he just doesn't rate Varane on the left side of defence because of passing options?

Fairly certain that both will rightly be replaced in the summer.Yeah just ship off £100m worth of talent and pay what another £150-200m to replace them. No worries, United have unlimited transfer funds. It's not like we're struggling with FFP or anything.
Do you make up a scenario in your head then get angry about?
He's been injured for the most part of this season. Whenever he plays he doesn't exactly look like 4UCL winner either. He played last match against Copehagen and gifted them goal
Varane seems like the most unproblematic player in Europe. Has had many managers and been part of great teams but the first time he seems to have an issue is with ETH. Posters will pretend this is just an issue with Varane but we really need to question ETH’s man management especially with top end talent.
The turn on Varane in the last couple of weeks has been disgusting. Sure he hasn’t been the defender he was at Madrid but he’s still unquestionably been our best CB. A good four game stretch from Maguire and Evans and all of a sudden it’s Varane who should be sold.

If he is to leave in January it sends a very bad message about Ten Hag in my opinion.
