Not just boos, they were shouting all sorts of shit and making ‘wanker’ hand gestures at him. Bunch of cnuts really.

Of course if that were a Chelsea player our fans would be saying " Jolly bad luck sir get better soon"

Well I was worried it might be an ACL or something.
Ah fair enough, hope he'll make it to the world cup even if it's not in our best interests , it'll be massively important for him and I think he deserves it.

I didn't see the match, but I understand that some Chelsea 'fans' actually booed Varane as he walked around the pitch.
That just tells you the standard of the clueless, moronic idiots that some clubs have follow them.
Many clubs have a proud history in the English game, I don't feel that Chelsea are one of those clubs.
We would have done the same .

They've consistently proven themselves to be unclassy, not just the supporters but also the club itself. So many examples of Chelsea being degenerate over the years. Who remembers when they felt hard done by after losing to us and chose to take revenge against Mark Clattenburg by falsely accusing him of racism, just to punish him for their loss? A brutish, vindictive mafia mentality largely defines Chelsea F.C. It has always felt like the club reflected the nature of its owner: a crooked Russian oligarch. Then add the fact that they've generally been known for negative anti-football and have rarely been the convincingly deserved winners of the trophies they've won. It's just a profoundly unlikeable club in every way imaginable. Oil money, despicable club culture, crap football, and very few legendary players representing the club.

This is very much Pearl clutching. If a player went off like that at Old Trafford they would absolutely get the same. If he were on a stretcher it might be a different story, but then again if my granny had wheels she would have been a bike.

Funny, I don’t remember our fanbase being a bunch of racist cnuts. Every fan base has its cnuts. We are no different. But I can’t think of another fan base that is as associated with being horrible racist thundercunts as Chelsea fans. We aren’t even talking about ancient history, they are time and again showcasing cnuty behaviour. Even during a show of solidarity with Ukraine they were shouting Roman Abramovichs name.

So yes, while every club has a groups of brain dead feck wits, Chelsea has far more than it’s fair share.

It's such a shame he keeps getting injured because he's been so good this season. I'm really worried that it's gonna be like this for him the entire time he's here (like Bailly, for example).

Our fans are class above and certainly wouldn't boo an obviously injured player. Glad he kicked their corner flag while going out.

Wankers.

Don't know about all our fans, but the Old Trafford crowd would never boo an obviously injured player like that. Some other clubs fans wouldn't either to be honest. But with Chelsea fans it doesn't surprise me one bit.

Sums up your football knowledge, borderline "ignore" deserving post. But I will give you a chance and benefit of a doubt that it's just a kneejerk reaction, which itself is annoying for a grown-up.

Lindelof is more of a like for like replacement for Varane than Maguire.

You should be banned for wanting Maguire over anyone.

Feel for Varane. He's been great this season.

Lindelof will get a run of games now, thankfully we're entering a run of better fixtures before the world cup. I don't expect Maguire to be involved. Ten Hag does not rate him.

Looked like a knee to me, but let’s hope it’s “only” hamstrings even though hamstrings problems isn’t great either considering his problems in the past.

Nobody at the club can fill Varane’s boots, he’s a level above the rest of the CBs. But we all knew he is fragile like no one else. He’s not old but started elite level football early and it starting to take its toll.

Can’t help thinking that Varane’s injury was the price ETH’s lack of rotation. He’s a player you should play too often.

Fixture list has been too heavy, and typically you shouldn’t need to rotate centre halves. You rotate players that have an explosive element to their game. Besides, this injury isn’t a result of accumulated fatigue, it was how he planted from the tackle. Could have happened at any time.
