Ralf Rangnick | ex-interim manager | does anyone rate him?

The ones that are blaming him should have a hard look at themselves. Unfit, uninterested and unbearable the club is rotten to its core and Ralf is the only one who has dared to tell it like it is. So because the intensity in training everybody gets injured well that really tells a telling story. We can't sell players, can't renew without throwing the cheque book at them and we have a soft spot for nice guys so we let them stay for far too long. Hope Ralf has managed to point this out to the owners and the board and the club will at least learn from it's mistakes. Posers the lot of them and at least we didn't get a post match of well the boys gave all and sadly it wasn't enough..

Don’t laugh but the only tiny fragment of hope that I cling to by the very tips of my fingers is that getting Ralph Rangnick in was purely to find out about the players and staff at the club.

A fact finding mission rather than trying to get us into top 4. Go in, assess, report back at the end of the season and then stay on, help rebuild the club with a style of play and a plan that will bring us consistency whoever manages the club and that in a few years we will looking at Murtough or Arnold and saying what a genius idea it was they had….

Like I said, don’t laugh.

Well done. that’s exactly what he was brought in for!

He talks a good talk but as usual he never walks the walk as one of the posters said on here. This is not happening next window, maybe in three windows we lose ten players, but not in one. The man is a fraud.

How can people continue to say it's not his fault it's the players when he's had six months to instill discipline and order into the squad and failed utterly? Even the fat Spanish waiter when he was at Chelsea won them the Europa League and got that team to play for him. Rangnick can't even get them to play decentish football and train to a good level, yet it's JUST the player's fault? The fact we have had ZERO new manager bounce under this man should be a sign he's been awful. At least Ole had a few good seasons before it went to shit.

A bigger sign is how shit this group of players is no matter who's the manager.

You just know he hates Maguire. His lack of physicality and athleticism comments seem almost pointed towards the captain.
Why does he play him? He plays players he hates, rather than just pick kids who want to play, or play those senior players who put in the effort.

Isn't that basically his brief? That was the point of hiring him.

Says it clearly that players are not listening to his instructions and didn't even try. Damming interview but truthful.

New game on Saturday. New chance to drop every single one he believes aren’t following his instructions. If you have any sort of credibility as a manager, why on earth would you keep playing players who don’t listen to you?

What do you mean find out about the players and staff? Do the higher ups not have a scooby doo about them at all? Isn't it Murtough and Fletcher's jobs to do exactly that? If they are relying on this man to do that, then my god...

Wow so now it's not the terrible coach Solskjaer's fault? The man that 90 odd percent of people on here said could not coach a side and had barely any tactical acumen? It's JUST the players. The (mostly) same players that under Ole and Mourinho finished second and third? The latter having won two trophies? That's just delusion of the highest order, these players are not total shit. They have been poorly coached and led, which has resulted in an awful culture. They are demoralized, and a strong man manager and leader is needed to instill discipline and a new work ethic. Sometimes that is all that is needed to sort some of the issues out. Yes, new players will be needed, but a change of culture is the number one priority.

And whose job is it to make sure that the players are always motivated and will die for that shirt? There is only so much a person can do to motivate themselves in a workplace, the rest has to come from the manager to make them go that extra step. These players have been coached poorly for years and subject to endless chopping and changes and failure, no wonder a culture has developed to this terrible level. Do you always feel 100% motivated in an environment you dread working in? I know I don't, and I'm someone who is a hard worker naturally. Even I get demotivated in terrible workplaces, and under terrible management.
They are not poorly coached. They have given up. They don't care. Poorly coached is when you see players lacking basic quality and tactical thinking. And oh my how some of them lack that to. But this is pure about heart and soul. About wanting it. About putting your head where people don't put their feet. It is about pride and passion. About having honour and never give up. About stepping up for your teammates. About giving it all for club and fans.

They are the once who have put themselfs in this position. Not managers.

A fraud does that, he has players that will play for him like Mata, McTominay, Fred etc. professionals. But he just continues to play the likes of Maguire and Dalot etc. who are just awful.

Biggest fraud of all time. “It’s about not losing 4-0 to your biggest rivals in a game that meant so much”. Bloke has us in relegation form with a generous run of fixtures since he joined. Tell me I’m wrong.

Ralfs comments about the injuries and players not playing because they claim they are injured are also huge.

Rangnick post game presser: the players essentially did not follow any of the game plan

Redcafe Main Forum: oh how can he be so mean to these boys, there's so much talent, Rangnick is the worst.

Harry Maguire: every manager picks me, I'm awesome every week I play.

For the love of God people, choose better people to idolise.

Well we’re going to lose about 6 on free transfers…

No, I don’t think they do.

Think he’s clearly seen the players wont play for him so…

He's throwing them under the bus Mourinho style there. But apparently when he does it it's telling it like it is, when Mourinho does it, it's toxicity. I dislike Mourinho, but this is exactly what he does. Hell, it's even Moyes-esque, we have to aspire to their level essentially. When was the last time he took responsibility for his decisions? The time he didn't go 3-5-2 in a match?

Completely agree with you mate. This is my hope too.

I think Murtough and Fletcher clearly do, they have him here because of his reputation and want him to instill some kind of playing style and culture in the club. But so far I don't see him showing anything of the sort.

Complete nonsense, have a look at what he has done at previous clubs and come back here. He's an extremely intelligent guy to have behind the scenes.

The mental gymnastics with that is mind boggling. You I mean.

Yes they are poorly coached, you can see it in the matches. You are talking emotional drivel. Do you even understand basic stuff about human nature?

Its not a problem to get rid of 10 players: Pogba, Matic, Mata, Lingard, Cavani is all out, 100%. And I can imagine five from Ronaldo, Jones, Bailly, Maguire, AWB/Dalot, Shaw/Telles... leaving.

The problem is to buy 6-7 proper players in one window.

“It’s about…” this bloke is a disgrace to our football club. Ole was chastised for “not playing the United way” when this guy has had relegation form since he joined  Today was the worst I’ve seen from a United side EVER.

He may not be a top class manager, since he’s done nothing to prove that, but it’s fairly obvious that our players are incapable of playing the sort of football he expects.

He clearly knows what he’s talking about and I like how he’s starting to say things as they are. I think he can be a great asset to the club if he sticks around.

Not too keen on the out of contract players getting time ahead of some youngsters, but maybe that will change now we have nothing to play for.

It’s also becoming more and more obvious that Uncle Ole had a bunch of average players playing beyond their means for a long time, which he deserves some credit for despite fairly obviously not being good enough to manage us.

They are not even following the instructions of the manager so I don’t think you can put it all down to coaching.
They are poorly coached though, that is what happens when you put an inexperienced manager in charge for 3 years

 come on mate

1. Mourinho shouldn't even be compared to Ralf, different times with different teams. Half this team are already on the way out, half the other team are clearly not been bothering on the pitch for a whole season. It wasn't as bad under Mourinho

2. He's right we inspire to be like Liverpool, they are one the best teams in the world under one of the best managers in the world who have the best training methods/best style and quite frankly are damn fit compared to our players. Moyes just inherited a Pl winning team (yes on the decline but wasn't as bad)

Get off your high horse and wake up
