He inherited a team in dissaray, you can't expect miracles, building player confidence and implementing club wide change will take time.
Weirdly not excited at all about the new manager at the moment.
The long stretch without a game combined with that dire Norwich match contributed to that feeling - but mainly it’s just being jaded from all the change and false dawns of the past few years, coupled with the players farting out the usual sound bites of working hard, training hard, blah blah blah.
I’m hoping we absolutely smash Newcastle today and see some exciting footy to jolt me out of this feeling, it seems like so long since I properly enjoyed a United game.
Wasn't that exactly the intended plan from the start?I really hope we skip extending his contract and utelise him on the board instead.
Wasn't that exactly the intended plan from the start?
Code words for passion and desireAt least he isnt making excuses in his post match interview. he was basically asked about Covid and he said it didnt effect the game. It was our lack of physicality and enerny and control.
Next two games are home games and i think we will play better.
The away games will be a struggle all season in my opinion.
Who'd never managed a single game in his life.I expect us not to immediately start playing much worse than we did under the previous interim coach. Must have high standards or something.
Good spot, genuinely thought he was complaining to Telles, not that there’s anything wrong with it. Just thought the whole team were complaining to everyone at every opportunity last night.I thought that he was having a pop at Telles too but when I rewatched it he was actually moaning at the linesman for not noticing that the ball had nicked off a Newcastle United player so it should have been our throw not theirs.
Of course they will. A lot of money and less pressure as a result. From what I have seen so far we are going to be playing Thursday night football next season.
Will Ten Hag or Poch fancy that?
This football club is broken beyond repair. Glazers out.
We will never get to a level close to that with this set of players. A big percentage of our squad is made of technically average player. Hard to develop good possession football with Maguire/Fred/McT/Bruno/Rash/ etc etcWhen we have possession our players look like chickens being chased by dogs.
When City have possession they look like there isn't any opposition on the pitch and it is a walking pace drill.
Just toys being thrown now. Chelsea has had like 3 interim managers in the past decade. Famously, Hiddink. The point is to get to the summer when the very best managers are willing to switch if they are not free agents. It's not done just for fun.
That's insane isn't it? and those who write sarcastically the " blame it on Ole " phrase after games is just pathetic. Like he is not the one who had the upper hand of what's happening now!Can you believe Ole's supporters, screaming after only 3 games?
What's up with you?Bring back Carrick
Please
Please
Please elaborate this. Why aren’t we analysing every word he says in press conferences. Pre and post? He’s shocking
If you're looking for magic in 3 weeks, you're in the wrong place
That's cause we dont have a player who can control the game, slow the tempo and keep possession more than 5 seconds. When we have possession our players look like chickens being chased by dogs.
When City have possession they look like there isn't any opposition on the pitch and it is a walking pace drill.
Just watched his post match and the main thing he was saying was physicality and desire to win the duels. And when pressed on it other than control he said we needed to match their physicality but we didn't.
And needed to reduce unforced errors. Early days but I bet the results will be no better than ole to be honest very knee jerk I know, but yea happy to be proven wrong but don't think I will be.
So you went from sticking behind Ole (who was in relegation form) after 3 years in the club to moaning about the new manager after only 3 games. So you went from moaning about Ole to moaning about supposed Ole supporters?
Kudos.
Really don’t think it’s anything but the same people knee jerking. Think you put the wrong label on the wrong jar there mate. Can you believe Ole's supporters, screaming after only 3 games?
Where did I specify anything about magic? I’m looking for a bit of visible improvement on the pitch, a bit of hope. So far it’s been complete shite.
Under Ole we smashed Cardiff in his first game, with a much worse squad, and kept that new manager bounce up for a good few months.
You're welcome to do that. Post the comments you think are shocking. Why aren’t we analysing every word he says in press conferences. Pre and post? He’s shocking
