Still done a brilliant job, deserved to go through.
Did an incredible job to take Austria from losing in the Round of 16 at Euro 2020 to Italy all the way to losing in the round of 16 at Euro 2024 to Turkey.
Still done a brilliant job, deserved to go through.
Fck me you guys ever going to stop pining for him?Still an absolute hero.
God help some of you if he managed to get the England job after Southgate.
Genuinely think that would be an amazing appointment. Would be all for it.
Rangnick's tactics are completely suited to the player that is limited in ability because he prioritises high intensity and high work rate with the aim of going vertical at every opportunity with the ball. And Turkey are a decent team and apart from having a few star players who made the difference they aren't anything special imo. But I must say, their fullback Kadioglu, has looked like one of the surprises of the tournament so far, such high technical quality on the ball with fantastic carrying ability. I'd never heard of him before but he was born in Holland, so we may sign him..
Fck me you guys ever going to stop pining for him?
Ummm..... No RobbieShould have kept him on. A true generational talent, is Sir Ralf.
Ummm..... No Robbie
Trouble in paradise.
Trouble in paradise.
What's the context?
There's currently a fight going on between the President Klaus Mitterndorfer and manager Rangnick + the players. Mitterndorfer for some reason insists on firing business executive (Geschäftsführer) Bernard Neuhold which the players and Rangnick can't understand in the slightest. Mitterndorfer repeatedly said he understands they (Rangnick and players) want to defend their friend (Neuhold), but he needs to go. I, personally, haven't understand yet either why exactly Neuhold has to be sacked from his position. Mitterndorfer said in an interview a few days ago that he had a talk with Rangnick last week.
Rangnick took over the NT but the FA are not happy because he isn't a "yes man" that just bows down to their demands. Which poses a problem to the people in charge of the FA, they feel threatened.
Because Rangnick is actually competent and has build quite a good team. That has resulted in support from both players and fans, and now he has the popularity to opposed the FA.
So the FA is trying to cover their arse and have started to sabotage Rangnick. They are leaking stories trying to sow unrest in the group and to make it look like he favours certain people. They have also sacked one of the people Rangnick worked well with. Rangnick is understandably unhappy and has started firing back.
Its so sad if the ÖFB finds a way to feck this up and make rangnick leave after our beautiful EURO tournament (albeit with a bitter ending but the improvement was clear to see).
I dont think we will ever get a manager remotely as good as him unless Hasenhüttl,Hütter or Glasner ever decide to manage the National Team but I dont see that happening anytime soon
I don’t know about my fellow Benfica supporters but this guy would do wonders in our club if the people in charge gave him the control he desired.
I actually like him a lot, seems to me the kind of guy that takes no bs
ragnick with full power on football team can handle the team. Sad glazers didn't want to work with him
if this eejit makes Ralf leave because of some personal vendetta I'm fuming, just let him cook man
Alright, own up. Which one of you is this?Few quotes from reddit thread.

The North remembers!Alright, own up. Which one of you is this?
He's a power-hungry arsehole. So nothing new.What's the context?
There is more in that first quote. Here it is in full:Few quotes from reddit thread.
Look, the 6 years in Hoffenheim, 2 promotions with a club who many years was buried deep in amateur football, 3 promotions in 4 years with Leipzig and the complete transformation of a club like Salzburg, who before was the epitome of a troop of mercenaries before I came, and within 2 years we had one of the sexiest, most exciting teams in Europe.
Does anybody in this room here seriously believe that this would have been possible if I practiced nepotism, patronage and all that? [shakes his head] That would have been impossible. Therefore, I can only repeat and this applies to my team as well, for us the performance principle counts and if someone makes a really good job or not. And Bernhard Neuhold is doing a really good job and that's also the reason why the team and I stated that he either has to stay or if he can't or isn't allowed to stay that we get an equivalent - makes no sense equivalent because then he could stay anyway - or a better replacement. I don't see anywhere a better replacement and I also wouldn't know who should have spoken to a better replacement already because I know from nothing. I can only say again: The president and I have for 10 weeks, since the presidium meeting zero contact [makes a zero with his hand]. Cero. Not at all. And because of that it has suprised me lot when he said we had a good, close, trustful relation [shrugs his shoulders]. I can only say since that presidium meeting we have no relation at all.
However, concerns that he might quit his job due to Neuhold's impending departure are misplaced. “Nobody would believe that I turned down two concrete offers on May 1 and opted for Austria, that I would consider giving up the whole thing because of something like that. Nobody would understand that, and the connection to the team, the staff and also the country of Austria is too extraordinary.”
