Ralf Rangnick | Austria manager

This. And you wont hear many people voicing a different opinion on that in the Kurve.

I know this is hard to understand for people not familiar with the countries and sometimes even for those who are, but power politics in Austria are something very unique and very hard to read for us Piefkes :D
The structural reform of the ÖFB is a great idea and long overdue. It's just hampered by power fights between cliques inside the ÖFB. Basically the team and Rangnick are on side of Neuhold (financial manager). Because of an ongoing fight for power between him and general secretary Hollerer ÖFB president and initiator of the reform Mitterndorfer decide to fire both.

Add bad communication via the press and you have a typical austrian way of making a ridiculous mess out of a good thing.

He gets the backing from the players so there was only going to be one outcome.

There were discussions above of him having a problem with the Austrian board, so could be that he quits as the NT manager and takes th Dortmund job? Don't think I remember a manager managing a club and national team at the same time (except in an FM save of mine )

Would be fun to have him at Dortmund though!

Scroll up on this page, their president resigned in November due to their power struggle.

SAF managed Aberdeen and Scotland at the same time, Rinus Michels managed Barca and The Netherlands to name a couple, I think Guss Hiddink also did a stint as a national team manager and a club

Francesco Calzona managed Napoli and Slovakia last season

Dortmund going for Rangnick after they held talks with ten Hag recently. There were even talks of van Gaal potentially taking over at Dortmund. Seems like our ex managers are around there or Turkey.
