Whilst I am not condoning Sterling's behaviour - its easy to forget that Liverpool have been basically colossal arseholes with the entire Sterling situation which has arguably been the cause of this escalation. They already leaked how he rejected £100k/week, it wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if the club were also the ones leaking all the current drama, purely to paint Sterling in a poor light (which they have achieved). Valuing him at £50m but not willing to pay him a competitive amount (compared to what a £50m player 'should' be getting) etc.

Sterling's agent must also take a lot of the flak for the way he has surely been advising Sterling throughout this 'saga'.

Still, as a United fan it is great entertainment.

I would still take him at United though, for some reason. I always feel that as a club, we should be in for top English talent.

My prediction on this saga is that Mourinho will come in declaring interest, prompting City to be forced into matching Liverpool's valuation quickly.
 
So apparently he's had to change his phone number 3 times due to the abuse and threats Liverpool fans are sending him. 2000 texts alone. He suspects someone within LFC is leaking his details. No wonder he wants to leave

Given how messed up this whole situation has been, sadly, I could see this being true... Hopefully it isn't. Hell, it might even be his agent at work again :lol:
 
Not to fussed about Sterling going to City, he's going to be another Nasri bow hot and cold

If Mourinho could shift Oscar, i can see him coming in for Sterling late

Maybe it's the same mob who were outside Rooney's house a few years ago.

The club leave on Sunday for the tour, let's see if he goes with them.
 
Two years ago, Suarez had to train the with reserves to by himself I can't exactly remember. Liverpool can also fine him two weeks wages. What else can they do with regards to sanctioning him? If that's what they intend to do.

I am not sure to be honest, I suppose the good thing is he isn't relative to others on a fantastic contract as he turned that down.
Whether they can just let him train with the reserves I am not sure. Clearly the best thing for all concerned is City meet the asking price.

I still don't think Liverpool will sell until they do.
 
Just got caught up on all of Sterling's antics. What an idiot! He's coming out of this whole thing looking really unprofessional and petty.

I agree. We should always be head of the queue for English talent. I wouldn't rule us out either but I can't see him moving until the last moments of the transfer window
