Having watched him play many times (follow Roma) I can safely say he is an incredible player and he really is at the peak of his powers right now a sensational midfielder.

He would be perfect. As i have said before Herrera can play DM with him and Pogba next to him would be a powerhouse of a midfield . Still don't think it will happen unfortunately

Called this earlier today as our marquee signing. His instagram updates a few days ago about not being sure what to do etc make it seem like he has a serious offer or two on the table. I reckon him and pogba and ander would guarantee the goals and assists we were missing from midfield, they are all versatile and all of them can leave a foot in too. He's a tasty player. Jose seems to be going for experience and form or young physicaly gifted players. Fair enough.
This has everything to do with him getting a big contract from Roma.

I like him but I have to admit everytime I have watched him in a big game I've never witnessed him win a midfield battle. So don't get why I'm so impressed.. maybe because he's tenacious. However he wouldn't actually solve our DM issue.

Even if we do sign him he's not a big enough name to be considered a marquee signing. Don't get me wrong he's a very good player and I'd be delighted if we got him but he's not someone who can be labeled as a marquee signing.
You don't think that was a message for Roma's directors? it's pretty clear he's just playing a game. "give me what I want or I have other options".
I dont know about that but the only midfielder player available/possibly on the move i would take over him would be Verratti, and even he isnt likely to move. He would be an immense signing in midfield, very good midfielders are rare, since the top clubs dont sell them at their peak/best.
I think Roma is his priority, but if he doesnt get the contract, we are up there hopefully. I would give this 80% of probability of him staying.
My thinking too. As good as anyone but not really a Marquee player. From my understanding a Marquee player is someone who's a bit of a superstar like Griezman etc.

I had a premonition in a dream last night we signed him. I have no past form for premonitions or predicting anything that's happened though so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt.
For everyone saying that there's no way he'd leave Roma - I think he'd give it serious consideration if we genuinely came in for him. I get that he probably loves it there, and likes living in the city, but he can move back there once his career's over if he loves it that much. We are MASSIVE, and this is probably his last chance to move to a genuine superclub. Given that Madrid or Barca are unlikely to come calling for him it would take a special kind of lack of ambition to not come to United if we were properly in for him. This isn't like Ramos, he isn't already at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it isn't even his native country. Not saying we'll sign him, cos so far I think it's only The Mail that have even said we're interested, but what I am saying is that if we want him there is a very good chance that he'd come to us imho.

Why wouldn't he return to training as normal? Until he has had the contract talks this is a dead transfer for us.
Considering they've been in negotiations for a year, this could be on. Roma talks about him not being on sale, but maybe they should've dealt with Radja earlier instead of allowing him to get leverage. Still give it only a less than 40% chance of happening, but until they finish their negotiations & get him signed to a new contract, Radja to United will be a possibility long into the window. He's probably the best option for a central midfielder, better suited than Dier, Fab, Matic, etc.
Radja won't leave Roma. Matic won't come either. I think Fabinho and Thiago Maia would be good additions for the CM position
