I don't get it, is there anything that could possibly scupper the deal now? If he's had his medicals, and the paperwork was submitted by the deadline, then what's all the fuss about? It'll get done by tomorrow probably

The Premier League has to confirm the deal, they're awfully busy tonight. It's done, and it'll be confirmed early tomorrow I reckon.

Serious question, if this deal is announced say tomorrow morning, does Falcao spend the night at AON? I pose this question b/c if he's spotted leaving and no deal has been announced, then that would be terrible PR for the club.
 
Anyone else think the hold up could be to do with the fact this is a permanent deal going under the guise of a loan?
 
We don't care if he's injured or even dead, just sign himmmmmmmm

The last time I remember being this unexcited by a "big" signing, when the rest of the caf were going mental, was one Dimitar Berbatov.

Falcao offers little different to the likes of Rooney and RVP. Doesn't address the problems of our squad.

I have to disagree here. Everyone has been crying out for a player who can run & stretch a defence (whilst still being good with the ball, unlike Chicha) - Rooney wants it at his feet and doesn't play on the last line of defence, while RVP also wants it to his feet when in and around the box. We are too static & predictable. Falcao is probably the only other player in the world with the same 6 yard box movement as Chicharito & is much better at running the channel and creating space for himself with a touch. He is also lethal from distance, as well as with his head. I know many think we don't need him & I know we need a CB even more, but he is definitely something we need more of.
