I don't want to get into another formation debate but surly to fit in all these attackers it's best to play 4-2-3-1?
We're currently playing with two strikers. How is reducing the number of strikers a better way to fit them all in?

Basically a repeat of the RvP deal: sign the best striker you can find and hope he scores enough to carry your team. It actually did work with RvP so maybe it will with Falcao too.

It would have been smarter to actually improve the rest of the team to the point where it doesn't need to be carried though.

We did a bit though. Shaw, Rojo, Herrera, Blind and Di Maria are very big improvements. For me, we are only missing a player like Vidal.

Mendes, whose other deals this summer include Di María, James Rodríguez, Diego Costa and Eliaquim Mangala, has struck up a strong relationship with Woodward, to the point of regularly texting him with family photographs.

Woodward gets family snaps :D

But just watch him now get injured on international duty :(

Mendes is a nice person

The Daily Mail feed just said this:

Manchester United: We have 'plenty to confirm'
Manchester United just teased us - they're holding their cards close to their chest, but they the official club website tell us they'll have 'plenty to confirm' as the night grows old.

Hopefully not too old, though... we have less than six hours to go!

In my mind, the word 'plenty' popped out. Though, that could be the outgoings as well.

Couldn't see that on the feed at all

Our defense looks weaker on paper than it did last season too imo. The squad looks very unbalanced in terms of quality with our defenders/DM far weaker than our strikers/AMs.

Absolute madness I'm still in shock from when I first heard this this morning....it's a complete muppet signing, but I fecking love it :)

Blind and Rojo have strengthened us from a defensive point IMO. Rio and Vidic were not up to it anymore unless we were sitting back. Pace is everthing in this league and they'd lost theirs.

His permanent fee looks to be around £50m. So the £6m fee we pay this year will be deducted from the £50m if we decide to sign him.

If reports are to be believed then RVP is having surgery soon, and Rooney is more like a AM like Mata so them 2 and Di Maria behind Falcao with Herrera and Blind as the holding CM's?

I'd prefer that to the current tactic.

Mata's pulled a hammy, hasn't he? We could well see all three of RvP, Rooney and Falcao starting against QPR in two weeks time.

If we revert to a back four then maybe. We still have to see how Rojo does.

If we stick with the back three then we're far weaker imo.

That front three is like an ultimate FIFA lineup.

When was the last time we had a top player get the #9? Exciting. (and no, Berba doesn't count).
