Radamel Falcao | Ducker: Medical passed!

I want to be honest. This transfer annoys me because he's one of the top three strikers in the world and we've signed him. Why couldn't we get a midfielder of this quality?
This is what I can't fathom.

Blind is a great squad player but he's not a great central midfielder.

Whats his missus like btw? Anything like Mrs Rojo and Blind? Or more of a Mrs Young?

I'm also hoping its because we want to properly asses what levels he's able to play at after his injury.

He looked his old self against Arsenal a few weeks ago, if the deal is a commitment rather than an option and he is signing a 4 year deal I imagine we are satisfied that he is fine.

Presumably because you're talking about a tiny pool of players and if their clubs don't want to sell, well, that's that.

I feel like some would've been ready to sell. Anyway I'm really happy with the transfer. I just feel like Herrera being the only addition to an atrocious midfield is worrying.

MY GOD our team on paper is so fecking ridiculous. LVG you have a challenge to make these amazing players gel together. If he can manage that, then we can be really scary to play against.

I don't understand what on earth is going on. I am worried this is a massive joke and he will rock up at City. At first I thought "no way do we need this guy, what are we playing at?" but now I will be devastated if we don't get him!

Beyond my wildest dreams.

Sure you could say should have bought a defender or whatever... but sometimes an opportunity presents itself and you've just got to go after it since it strengthens the team. Fergie said as much several times back in the day.

Just need Vidal in and this would so wanktastic that I don't know what's going to happen to us all!

LvG is making FM difficult to play this season.

I'm playing FM2012 and had a 45mn bid turned down for Herrera. Too bad I bought Kroos before he turned us down, need to offload that twunt.

Question - does anyone have a list of players we have loaned in over the past few years? Struggling to think of any
In the Premier League era:
Tevez from MSI in 2007/08
Kuszczak from West Brom in 2006/07
Larsson from Helsingborg in 2006/07
Steel from Peterborough United in 2001/02
Goram from Motherwell in 2000/01
Prunier from Bordeaux in 1995/96
Digby from Swindon Town in 1992/93

At least 100 times today I have said "Radamel Falcao Garcia" either in my head (while in office) or loudly (while being home). Such a cool name.

Might be his flight,
Falcaoplane.png

Has it landed yet?

Cannot wait to see him in a United shirt. Hopefully by the QPR game we'll have all our summer signings in the starting 11

Ultimate muppet deal. And I don't care, he's fecking ridiculous and I just remember those stories that Liverpool were trying to sign him

The Daily Mail feed just said this:

Manchester United: We have 'plenty to confirm'
Manchester United just teased us - they're holding their cards close to their chest, but they the official club website tell us they'll have 'plenty to confirm' as the night grows old.

Hopefully not too old, though... we have less than six hours to go!

In my mind, the word 'plenty' popped out. Though, that could be the outgoings as well.

What's the wage agreement going to be like? He's what, the highest net annual salary earner in the football world because of the lack of taxes in Monaco. Will United be paying the figure that's on his paycheck or will United be paying what he takes home with him?

Basically a repeat of the RvP deal: sign the best striker you can find and hope he scores enough to carry your team. It actually did work with RvP so maybe it will with Falcao too.

It would have been smarter to actually improve the rest of the team to the point where it doesn't need to be carried though.

Mendes, whose other deals this summer include Di María, James Rodríguez, Diego Costa and Eliaquim Mangala, has struck up a strong relationship with Woodward, to the point of regularly texting him with family photographs.

Woodward gets family snaps :D

But just watch him now get injured on international duty :(

Yeah, I think we'll more then likely sign him but the loan is a good idea because it gives us a chance to assess him over the season. If for whatever reason he turned to shit or completely regressed then we probably won't get him. More likely he'll score loads for us though. You can't help but feel excited even if it was close to the bottom on our list of needs.

4-1-2-1-2 would seem like the obvious one to try first. If we can get it to work we basically have all of our best players playing at their best.
