Well I would imagine he will be learning it ASAP then!

Highly doubt it, takes time to learn a new language and professional footballers are surely the least likely kind of people to start educating themselves. Kind of contradicting myself here but language courses should be mandatory.

Indeed. Spunking £50 odd million on him while still neglecting the midfield/defence would be batshit mental.
I'm not worried anymore, united have proved they are willing to spend to compete now. I'm positive we will move for strop tan in January and a big name cb next summer, while continuing to clear out the deadwood. I'm not just happy about the transfer I'm happy we've shown we can compete and will continue to do so.

Who'll translate for Rooney?

Must be Falcao's plane if Sam with 600 followers says so
Don't shoot the messenger, the DailyMail live blog linked it. Supposedly it originates from canal+

Right I'm believing this a loan and rvp is out for awhile. That makes this loan pretty awesome.

Is is true that he's been not at his best for post atletico?

Anyone know anything about any potential permit issues? Would it have to go to appeal as he probably hasn't played 75% of international games over the last 2 years.

He had a injury-stricken season at Monaco but despite the wumming of EssexRentBoy he still managed to bag 1 in 2 games.

I think as a South American you get a Spanish passport in 2 years (I am not sure about this) so I assume he has a Spanish citizenship.

Edit: Wiki says it's to years.

If RVP is out then it's not as crazy as most of us think it is. Also would image if we get top 4 then we'll buy him fully.

Move has made an impression Marca

No, its part of building a world class squad again.

No club in the world has three strikers of that calibre because it's nonsensical to leave a world class player on the bench. The closest thing to it is Barcelona but all three of their "strikers" can play out wide. Having three central strikers of that class is like having three centre backs of that class - all three can only play one position so inevitably one will be on the bench at all times. It's a colossal waste of money and a potential dressing room disaster.

You look at Chelsea and City and see two world class players in each position.

Do you really believe that? Neither Chelsea or City have any world class players on the bench. Perhaps Jovetic if he kicks into gear but then if that happens he'll likely relegate Dzeko/Negredo - players who are clearly nowhere near being world class - to the bench and we're back to square one.

It's fine if we're loaning him (even though a one year loan will reportedly cost 20 million bloody quid), but I hope we don't splash huge amounts on him for a permanent deal. He's a class act, albeit an injury prone one, but we need to spend big in other areas. I don't want to be tied in to the same shit City and Chelsea get up to, either - spending big on unnecessary players.

Incredible amount of Left foot finishes for a right footed player.
That's the best part. So so comfortable on his left. In fact you'll see that he'd often pull back from his right feet to his left to take a shot.

Can someone please tell me which page the muppetry started so I can have an entertaining read. This came out of nowhere.
Around page 10.

OMG WE HAVE BACKDOORED THE LEAGUE!!!! Incredibe signing... will make sure our finishing/creativity in the final third is lethal.

Falcao! Feck me we've signed fecking Falcao, if he's made a full recovery from his injury we have a hell of a player on our hands, creates goals from absolutely nothing, just got off a plane and heard the news, I'm fecking speechless for the first fecking time in my life.

 both Rooney and RvP can play out wide.

Not getting into a debate about "world class" but all the best clubs would have incredibly expensive players on the bench, on the rare occasion they have a fully fit and available squad.

Only reason this loan deal makes some sense is if Van Persie will be sideline for a vast majority of the season. Nevertheless, not sure if he is the type of player that would make Rooney a better player. Looking forward to the potential partnership.

Carra the same. They just seem gutted that we've signed someone decent.

Their illusion that we couldn't sign world class players without CL has been well and truly shattered.

Beautiful. Now let's go out nd beat QPR!

So who is going to provide chances for Falcao? Di Maria can't do it all himself.

Our strikers from 99 and 09 would give these lads a run for their money.

When did RVP last play out wide? Honest question. It's usually dismissed very quickly.

I'am so happy with this, people were saying we have great strikers with Rooney and RVp but they didn't look so great anymore in my eyes the last year and they certainly didn't work as a partnership. RVP looks finished, if it is true that he needs suregery and may be out again for a long while than signing another good striker was necessary no matter what other people would make you want to believe and than signing Falcao is the best you can do.

With Januzaj, Mata and RVP to bring from the bench
