Radamel Falcao | Ducker: Medical passed!

Surely this is not happening, absolutely not our priority position unless we are missing information here.

How will we fit this guy, we already struggle to fit RVP and Rooney. Makes no sense.

Welbeck - Wilson - Rooney - Falcao - RvP
Mata - Di Maria - Januzaj
Blind
Rojo
DDG

Don't see us having any issues, we can't defend with 3 so 1 won't be much difference. Feck it.

 this is properly mental. The conviction in these Colombian tweets

It's on. Falcao ffs.

Have no idea how we would fit him in the side, but he's a quality player and I'd love to sign him. Do it Ed!!

Why can't we sign Vidal instead though. He is a quality player too and in a position we need way more.

The best #9 in the world IMO, it's hard to hate on that despite this feeling like us playing at being Real Madrid.

Will feel nervous if I wake up tomorrow and this thread is at the top of the homepage

Surely we're being used to prod Madrid into dropping more cash? He seemed nailed on to go there just hours ago.

Surely they are trolling us? i could understand Di Maria, but Falcao? I could have given my left nut that he would end up at Real or City 2 days ago. City loaning out Negredo and we end up with Falcao and Chicharito going to Real? is this real?

I'll never be against United spending money on proven world class players but the only way I can be completely happy with this transfer is if RVP indeed will be out for a while. Mendes seems to have Real Madrid and Manchester United as the two big money clubs for his clients atm.

City you mean? Madrid never really seemed interested in him recently, was more Mendes trying to push him on them.

Ok, I'm sure this is all nonsense that's gonna leave lots of Utd fans needlessly disappointed after what has already a great window for us...

BUT, if we signed Falcao (and no-one else) I'm thinking this is how we'd line up...

agree with Schneiderlin, with Laporte we would have to pay taxes no? At this moment, he wouldnt come i think and he is pretty young and why leave now for us?

Don't get me wrong, Falcao is a great striker, but he would be the epitome of our failures in the transfer market in recent years. The sensible thing to do in my eyes, if van Persie really needs surgery, would be switching to 4-3-3 and keeping Welbeck, while maybe buying one more winger and someone for central defence or midfield.

To avoid paying the taxes, you have to give the money to the player and he "buys" himself out of the contract, if I recall it correctly with Herrera and Javi Martinez. You're obviously right that he has no reason to leave as yet, since he's a guaranteed starter there, playing in the Champions League, I think just think after Varana and Hummels he'd be the best centre-half possibly available in the future.

He is 21. We just lack experience and leadership if anything at the back.

He actually just turned 20 in May. Still, he has been one of the best defenders in Spain last year, despite his age and he is better than anyone we currently have in central defence. He's too good to miss out on and similar to Ferdinand years ago, I firmly believe he would be worth it. Anyway it's unlikely since he signed a new contract this summer there and feels he can improve with Athletic and is at the right place, things can change quickly though.

Leaving out our last two record signings (Di Maria and Mata)

You're kidding me right? Where is di Maria, forgot about him? This transfer window has truly driven us all to madness.

And the British record signing sat on the bench?

We've just spent £60m on Di Maria, don't forget!

RvP's knees must be fecked. Although we do need a striker considering we are happy to let Welbeck and Hernandez leave but not sure if its Falcao seeing his price.

If we spend €60m on him, Woodwood really needs to go. He'd be a huge waste of money for a 28 year old in a position we don't need. We could have bought a player we actually need instead.

If we sign Vidal or another proven CM then I don't care what else Woodward does on his free time. And its 65 million euros btw.

If there is any truth to it then rvp is definitely crocked and needs knee surgery, at that age it's probably close to career ending, welbeck and Hernandez gone.

To be perfectly honest I think falcao in front of Rooney would be brilliant, with di Maria and januzaj on the wings. We'll see I guess, so weird though

 I totally forgot about Di Maria, edited now. Apologies - please note, I don't for one second believe that we're signing Falcao so my logic went completely out the window!

Damien, Mata would get dropped if we signed Falcao. LvG won't drop RvP or Rooney before he drops Mata.

Out:

Welbeck
Hernandez
Wilson (Loan)

leaves:

Rooney
Falcao
RvP

The problem is, you have to play Rooney up front on account of him being cack in the number 10 role which we bought Mata for. It basically leaves one spot for those 3, unless we're dropping 37m pounds worth of Spanish goodness.

If he sold Rooney and kept Welbeck, I'd be willing to give Woodward a job for life.

Woodward is just such a tool.

It's gotten to a stage where United fans are just being stupid when it comes to Woodward.

How is this his fault? Is he supposed to turn round to LvG and say "No, come on now..."?
