Race for top 4 | Finito.

Liverpools spell between beating us 7-0 to Xhaka pushing their player to awaken them is what's gonna cost them

Their run in has been extremely soft, plus playing at home against decent opposition rather than away, plus ref decisions. It's jammy as jam.

Even if we just win our home games and we'll be fine, and we'll still likey win at least one away game aswell.

Liverpool are also nailed on to drop at least 2 points against one of Villa, Leicsester, or Brentford.
Liverpool won’t drop any points now, it’s up to us to make sure that it’s all for nothing.

Liverpool's worst (Klopp's dreaded seventh) season
vs
Utd's best season in a while

Next season should be good. :)

What will change for them next year? Salah is a year older, guess Nunez can improve, but the midfield are passengers, backline is not as consistent with a declining VVD.

Allison is top class, but unless Diaz or the other newish player comes really good, don't see what changes for them.

We have Brighton and West Hame away and Liverpool have an easier run in than us. I said it last week and people said I was being ridiculous and I'll still keep saying it - top 4 is not as guaranteed as some seem to think

It would be incredibly embarrassing if Liverpool still got top 4 at our expense considering up until last week they were tied with Chelsea as the jokers of the season

Especially if they keep getting one dodgy decision after another. It’s stressful enough being in a top 4 race against your biggest rival but when you are against the FA and every referee in the league it makes it that much harder.

People forget they literally sustained a title challenge thanks to opposition keepers routinely throwing the ball into their own net when playing against them.

We need 9 points from 6 games Brighton (A), West Ham (A), Wolves (H), Bournemouth (A), Chelsea (H) and Fulham (H).

I can see wins against Chelsea, Fulham, Wolves and Bournemouth.. draw against West Ham and a loss against Brighton. More than enough to get us top 4.

Edit: Bar the first two games of the season we’ve bounced back with a win after every loss this season.. must say that alone fills me with confidence.

They really are an extraordinarily fortunate bunch, aren't they? Surely it cant last. Also, I think that those who acuse us of being conspiracy nuts regarding referees are largely wide of the mark. Its doesn't have to be illuminati and horse's heads in the bed to see that pressure from home crowd and Klopp's media presence puts pressure on referees to make decisions that suit Liverpool.
Its like a library ffs.

Our managers first season after taking over an absolute shite show v your 7th season with the same so called best manager in the world and we’ve still managed to have a better season than you. Next season should be good indeed especially when we’re in the champions league and your playing that dreaded Thursday night football.

Klopp's played and got to the final of Europa in his very first season, just as Ten Hag did in his first season with y... Oh. Anyway Klopp will do what he did that time, play the kids until the very latter stages.

Yeah didn't expect them to go away. Brentford (H) Leicester (A) Villa (H) Southampton (A) they should win all those games giving them a end of season total of 71 points.
I do hope either Leicester or Villa can trouble them.
But in the end shouldn’t hope for another team to drop points but do job ourselves.

when you look at the fixture list its very likely they will win all remaining games

Liverpool will win all their remaining games and I still don’t see from our fixtures how we don’t make it. We just need to win our 3 remaining home games and even then it’s likely we’ll win at least one away game.

It's not fair to expect us to be battered by every team. That's just silly. Reading your posts one would think we're in a relagation zone.

Yeah, I guess, I freak out a lot thinking we will drop points regardless of the opposition.

I am a pessimist in general when it comes to United, although I wasn't this way during the Fergie years when we used to play well and would expect to win majority of the weekends.

That expectation came back a bit then went downhill post the Liverpool drubbing.

Main worry now is us somehow just getting to fecking 73 points to keep Liverpool out.

We only need to beat Bournemouth, Wolves and Fulham to finish above Liverpool.

Stop stressing over Brighton and West Ham, which we'll probably still pick some points there anyway. And we still got a home game vs Chelsea to pick up points as well.

Fulham lost three in a row and are now shit. That helps us for feck sake

Yeah but every time we'd lose that way we would come back season unlike previous ones.

I changed my mind, with how the ref and VAR doing, Liverpool highly win all of their remaining game.

Previously, I thought the way they play and defend, teams clearly can get draw against them even at Andield. But I am wrong.

What is your purpose in this place?

fecking hell, you're boasting about losing the Europa league final?

You also lost the League Cup final that season too, Ten Hag didn't.

You genuinely get worse every year you're on here.

It's my 21st year. I'll take that as a complement.

Well, I wasn't really expecting Liverpool to drop points at home tonight, but at what stage do the "Liverpool won't win X games in a row" brigade on here acknowledge that yes, there's a extremely likely chance that these cnuts could well finish the season with 9 wins on the bounce?! They've done it before and they've already strung 5 together, luckily or otherwise.

But any time someone suggests it here they're accused of being "hysterical"!

Those that were arrogantly saying that Liverpool can't possibly win multiple games in a row a few games back (because it was only one game against Leeds) are pretty quiet.

Huge game tomorrow night. Anything less than 2 points from the next 2 and we're in trouble.
We're not in trouble though are we. Beat Wolves, Bournemouth and Fulham and Liverpool can do feck all. And that still leaves us with 4 other games to get something from.

I reckon there are at least 3 wins from games against West Ham, Wolves, Fulham, Bournemouth and Chelsea.

If there isn't, Liverpool aren't our main problem

9 points is all we need. If we beat Brighton tomorrow, which is the toughest fixture we’ve got left provided Chelsea don’t sack Frank, then we’re sitting pretty.

Personally I don't trust this side if it's looking like they might have to win 3 games from 4 under pressure. 2 wins and a draw much more comfortable.

We'll still be fine then, if Liverpool get 12 points from 12, and we just 9 points from 18 then it would be a bit of a pathetic season end by us, but I've said for ages that 66-68 points should be enough, and I stand by it, there's no way Liverpool win all their games.

I’m sure people were shitting their pants before we played Villa. Now it’s an obvious three points for Liverpool. They’re absolutely scraping through these results too, it’s not even like they’ve found any kind of rhythm.

Well luckily it’s 3 from 6. Fair enough reassessing if we lose the next two, but how often has that happened under Ten Hag? I genuinely baffled that people are worried about this in between games.

Jesus I've never put anyone on ignore on here no matter how annoying they've been, but I think I'll make the exception for you.

Why the mods haven't banned you yet for constant wumming I just don't know.

The point is you don't really want to be going into the final games where a win is absolutely compulsory with no room for error.

We've dropped points against Leeds, Palace, Southampton in recent months, weird things can happen.

Lucas Moura has made this far more nervy than it needed to be.

Next season should be good. :)

Isn't this Klopp's 8th season as arrived in October 2015.

United on course to finish ahead of Liverpool for the 4th time in the last 8 seasons. In the that time frame Liverpool was meant to have their greatest team since the 80s while United in deep transition and total mess off the field and have gone through a number of managers in those 8 seasons.

It is not inconceivable that Newcastle drop points against Arsenal so there are two CL spots up for grabs. We would really mess up to miss one.

Another key element to think about is the unnecessary game time you have to keep giving players that you could do with resting about now in preparation for the FA Cup final and also next season.

Watch dem hamstrings. Happened with us playing far too many games (Thiago, Jota, Diaz to name a few).

Liverpool will win all the fixtures is as just as annoying.

What happens when Newcastle play Brighton. Do they get 6 points each for playing?
Newcastle playing Arsenal as well. Brighton too. Brighton against City.

Wonder if the Newcastle fans are wetting the bed too.
I'll be disappointed if we finish lower than third.

No ones panicking... Just saying we have to get the required points because they're probably going to win all their games.
I wasn't really referring to yourself, just the usual lot that have been overly panicky the last few weeks to the point that I'm convinced that they're sitting in a corner in their room with their arms wrapped around their knees rocking back and forth repeating the phrases 'so worried', '4th place', and 'scouse cnuts' over and over.
