Race for top 4 | Finito.

Oh I remember that game against Everton that was real kick in the teeth but our wigan loss was before that.

And against City I don't think we actually even attempted to play that was one cowardly display .

Ah you're right. I remember now, Wigan was poor, but we all knew beat Everton and it didn't matter.
Leaving that game knowing we had a midweeker? against City away was horrible

Liverpool will be a point behind us if we lose to Brighton and they beat Fulham/Brentford at home. Not to be pessimistic but that could be the reality. Although we would of course still have two games in hand.
That's true and the reason why next 2 games vs Brighton and West Ham are most important ones (and probably most difficult). Couple of bad results would let them close to us no doubt.

Actually think we will take something from Brighton. Was the 4-0 last season? Need to make sure we make them pay.

So you don't remember when We played Brighton and who were in the squad too.
Nice to be following the club na

Please let us know what was our form after that game

Fyi we played Brighton last week only in fa cup

Would like Wolves to beat Villa before we play them so that they’re definitely on the beach.

We just need to score more goals, the performances have been generally average but there is a major cup final coming up in 5 weeks and players will want to make the starting line up.

Brighton away will be really difficult, West Ham will be tough to but if we get 3 or even 4 points in those 2 games it’s practically done, Villa and Fulham will both not be easy for Liverpool and both have an outside chance of Europe to all to play for.

The squad is getting ready to accept more players back and soon we should be able to a much stronger bench ; Martial, Ericsen, Mctominay and Garnaucho coming back make a huge difference?

Team Vs Brighton - D De Gea, AWB, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot , Casemeiro, Ericsen,Sabitzer, Bruno, Rashford, Sancho

with 9 man bench - J Butland, H Maguire, T Malacia, S Mctominay, Fred, Garnaucho, Martial, Weghorst, Antony

won’t be easy but we can get a result against Brighton

Same here. And good that Bournemouth won today and pretty much secured safety couple of weeks before we play them.

Gonna be another dodgy win here but somehow they’ll win every point available?

I mean, that has been happening with Liverpool under Kloop for the last 3 seasons when we're at that point of the season.

This is what I'm saying, never underestimate the pure jammy-ness of Liverpool.

There's honestly nothing like it.

Which scenario do you think is more likely considering our away form and Liverpool's home form?
Well given Liverpool almost contrived to feck up a three goal lead against Spurs I wouldn’t want to waste any money on backing them. I just don’t see the point in the constant painting of the worst picture possible.

You can't ignore the results (or more specifically the performances) in the other competitions and act like they don't matter
What other competitions? You mean the one competition because I think United made the FA Cup final and won the league cup. So, one loss in the Europa League and you can't ignore it? Our form - both recent and throughout the season - suggests that we will make the top 4 and get the required points. Not just that, the form of other teams suggests they will not get enough points even if we don't. Some posters here are talking like we are dogshit and collapsing. Neither is true.

And I'm not one of them so realise who you're speaking to

You mean qualifying for the FA Cup final and having crazy fixture congestion throughout the season which greatly impacts (specifically) the performances?

Liverpool will drop points to someone, they are so bad at the back. I think the top 4 is done.

Would be surprised if Liverpool carry on this lucky run. In which case we need 2-3 more wins. It’s close to being over.

No surprises with Liverpool, I think they'll win every game left this season but I think they've left it too late. I'm convinced we only need 3 more wins.

Spurs were always fighting for a Europa spot. That was never in doubt. Not even sure they will get that now.

Nah they'll drop points somewhere, they're so bad at the back. But yeh they've left it to late for me too.

I mean mathematically we only need three more wins to finish above Liverpool. Even if they're perfect from now until the end of the season, their maximum tally will be 71. We're 8 points away from that now, but with their goal difference being vastly better we'll need to beat their points tally meaning we need 9 more to guarantee it.

Could have been done and dusted if not for Loucas Moura. But no way are Liverpool winning all of their games, they just won't.

Liverpool have only one remaining game against a team with something to play for and that's Leicester, the only game where they could lose points but won't with their endless luck.

Everyone was shitting their pants about the prospect of playing Villa at home today. Why is it just a given Liverpool will beat villa when they play them?

So Villa and Brentford who are still in race to make Europe have nothing to play for ?
