I just want to say that I think I've been very well behaved since the Queen died. Unlike many who took her death as a sign to vociferously hate the monarchy, I took two weeks off.

I'm in another country and mildly irked the football was cancelled. I think it was broader than today's televised bit. Also its literally waving flags in the faces of the millions who don't want a monarchy. To have mourning and pageantry and opulence on this scale you have to factor in that not everybody in on-board.
