QPR v Manchester United (Friendly) Saturday 24th July 2021 @ 3pm BST | 4-2 loss

Why can't people just enjoy watching our young lads giving it a go?

I remember when you had to read the score of a pre- season friendly the next day in the paper

We should have been level at least with the chances we've had.

These forward five are much better as a unit than the one that played the first hour.

These lot are used to playing as a team together, and it really shows.

Many of these players might play games. Yes it is a worry. It is early days in pre season and results in pre season do not matter much, but the performance is a worry.
I would have thought a lot of them will be going out on loan and some of the hangers on will be sold.

Irrespective of the score, much better ball movement. These are the lads that deserve the chance to play, not those who already have.....

Qutie a few second string players there though and it's those performances I do worry about, not the game itself.

The 2nd string players like Matic, Heaton, James and to a degree Pellistri were subbed at half time when it was 1-1

Then they were subbed for Mata, Grant, Elanga and Grant

3 out 4 that replaced the 2nd string are youth team players

Omg a paper made up a story
 I didn't even bother commenting in that thread, knowing how papers make up shite all the time. How they would possibly know of formation changes and the like are just plain dumb if you can't see that they know jack shite. However, being an arm chair manager, its very hard to resist giving your 2 cent opinion on the "formation change Ole has told his first team will be 433".

The lineup who started today shouldn't be losing by 4. A lot of them will actually be options from the bench for us during the season.

The result itself isn't important, but pre-season gives indication about the fitness level of the team and considering that our first game is on Aug 14th, it's very worrying.

The quality of your posts is very worrying - I can agree with that

We've been actually very good since the 2nd wave of subs came on. Impressive work by the young lads and Mata showing his leadership by getting on the ball a lot.

I was going to say the same, our actual under 23's are probably better than the mishmash of unwanted players we started with

Preseason means nothing, we won every game of preseason under LVG before his first season playing exciting football and we end up losing first game of the season 2-1.

That being said, this is most fringe and young players chance to stake a claim to be among the first team and none of them are covering themselves in any glory right now

Villa losing to Stoke City and Leicester can't even score against Burton Albion as well.

The state of the Premier League. It must be absolute crap according to the logic of some muppets on here.
Exactly. Can't believe so many are having a meltdown.

We've actually looked better since the kids have come on. The likes of Andreas and Williams can't get shifted quickly enough

This Second half team is a lot better than the pereira, Lingard and whoever else played in the first half

This pre-season is shaping up be absolute shit. Glad I decided to ignore it.

People who are saying pre-season means absolutely nothing remember the pre-season of Mourinho's final season and how shit it was, right ?

For the second game of that one, we had Shaw, Smalling, Bailly, Valencia, Herrera, Sanchez and Martial starting.

The team that started this one was 1:1, we conceded the other three goals after subs were made. Saying a lot of them will be options from the bench for us during the season - from the subs that's, what, Tuanzebe, possibly Lingard and Williams if they don't get their moves, and Mata?

Garner, Elanga, Grant, Shoretire, Levitt, Mengi and Pellistri I'll be surprised if they get more than 300-400 minutes combined in the league for United this season.

Think the youngsters up front have done fine. It is the defensive ones who are a worry, but there again they are playing against guys who have more experience than them.

i went to school near theQPR ground and it's nice for the fans to see their team win. They have to live under the shadow of much better neighbours

Imagine if Elanga and Hugill had finishes these huge chances. Instead QPR showed high effiency and went up to 4-1 quick. Only really bad performances has been from Pereira and Williams. Not surprised about Pereira, but sad to see that Williams look miles off the player two seasons ago.

Don’t get why people are crying, the team won’t even look like this against Everton in a couple of weeks, we’ll have the first team back for Leeds.
