QPR v Manchester United (Friendly) Saturday 24th July 2021 @ 3pm BST | 4-2 loss

I'm all for being moany in normal season matches. Even when we have won and the performance is poor, I can be a bit underwhelmed.

However this is preseason match, with a mixture of youngsters, squad members and a few whose futures aren't going to be at the club (well shouldn't be).

Whoo hoo 4-2. Mad match

What do you disagree with? You think we are playing well? Everyone can have a bad day, but this performance is a worry.

 Are you a WUM?

You're concerned about the performance of a team that will never start a competitive game for United? I need to stop biting on this because you can't possibly be serious.

It's a nothing game sure, but then would you all be filled with confidence calling any of these fringe players up when we have injuries to our first team

No but most of them aren’t even 2nd string so wouldn’t be calling on them anyway

Great goal Elanga. If Martial doesn't up his game this season, I reckon Elanga might take his place soon. I think he has been progressing well, and seems to have good attitude about him. Another exciting talent.

I'm still amazed that Shoetire is involved in the first team squad already.

You do realise pre season hasn’t actually started for about 90% of our 1st team squad, right?

The lineup who started today shouldn't be losing by 4. A lot of them will actually be options from the bench for us during the season.

The result itself isn't important, but pre-season gives indication about the fitness level of the team and considering that our first game is on Aug 14th, it's very worrying.

There is a reason why he is on my ignore-list :)

they're not losing by 4
a lot of them won't be options from the bench as they'll be loaned out or sold
it's not worrying at all

Qutie a few second string players there though and it's those performances I do worry about, not the game itself.

Are you serious?

Half the fecking team got subbed at half time and it was 1-1 then!

Anyone who has watched a decade of preseason football can't possibly take a preseason game seriously, much less one that's full of reserve players while the first team is still on holiday after a summer tournament.

Villa losing to Stoke City and Leicester can't even score against Burton Albion as well.

The state of the Premier League. It must be absolute crap according to the logic of some muppets on here.

He had a good season in the Championship with Villa.

Tyrone Mings his CB partner was miles better though.
They are going to need to make a decision about him. He needs to be playing somewhere. Getting the odd game is not going to develop him. Like most Williams and Pereira are my biggest worry. The others are kids who still have a lot to learn.

Calm down folks. Young lads like Lee Grant are only going to get better with age

Many of these players might play games. Yes it is a worry. It is early days in pre season and results in pre season do not matter much, but the performance is a worry.
