QF | Spain vs Germany | Portugal vs France

Spain were one f the best teams ever from 2008 to 2012. Not their fault if everyone parked the bus when playing against them and anyone pretending otherwise has a massive bias.

I don't think its for the football he's hating them, as much as the fact they kinda did to Germany what that era's Barca did to United.

England play better than France, that's so blatant
They are both tedious but I find England harder to watch because you don't even get counter attacks with them, whereas with France you might at least get one or two short bursts of excitement every 95 mins.

That's it Jenas, just carry on smiling and laughing and pushing down that sinking feeling that you're actually a shit pundit with a terrible voice and everyone wants to slap you in the face with your own hands.
It is incredible how he manages to be so unlikeable despite being so bland. Just a stupid, stupid man.

That is a myth. There 3 midfielders are all identical. None can turn on the break or open up passing lanes. Seen more from Bruno and Vitinha on the ball than all three of France's combined.
No doubt Portugal is more technically gifted and better balanced. Rabiots a big miss and Zaire-Emery doesn’t get many minutes.
Be nice if they could mix the midfields up for the second half. Swap Bruno for Camavinga, mix up the creativity
Imagine that. Like a Uno type card where managers get to swap a player with their own at half time

Feels like with Benzema done and Giroud not starting anymore; they’re sorely lacking a quality CF. Not sure Thuram or RKM have done well enough to cement their spot. Really unbalances their attack, not to mention Dembele blowing more cold than hot. They’re stacked in defence and midfield. Then it feels like outside of Mbappe and Griezmann they’re lack a bit. But yeah, Deschamps is quite conservative as well. I think Portugal actually has more talent/options IMO - or they’re extremely evenly matched at the very least.

What's happened to Mathy's Tel? Is he just stuck on the bench at FC Bayern

Terrible pundits. Rio's that type of guy that goes to the pub with his son's mates and buys rounds of Jager at 3pm, doesn't need to look at the screen when he sings R.Kelly - Ignition at Karaoke then tries to tell everyone what they need to do to be successful in life.

This game kind of wants me for them to copy the Copa Messimerica style of penalty shootout after 90 mins. No need to prolong the agony

Ronaldos lack of running forward when Vitinha broke their is reason alone to sub him

Hernandez likes to play act a lot. It's a bit pathetic.

Spain deserved to win in 2008 and also in 2010. They were the better team then. Today, though, they didn't deserve the win.

Klose scored two goals at the WC, one against Ghana one against fecking Brazil...

Schweinsteiger (quasi) retiring has been the far bigger problem. There has been no balance in midfield, no proper DM, ever since. The team only had the opportunity to blame the strikers, because Nagelsmann found this volatile equilibrium in playing two extremes in CM with Kroos and Andrich/Can and Gündogan + Musiala in front of them.
i'd say the last minute addition of Kroos to the team saved the whole campaign. Problem was, there is no second Kroos. At Madrid, he is usually subbed out at min 70 for Modric - Germany doesnt have that luxury. Maybe if Pavlovic hadn't been unavailable - but this would have been to early for him anyway. Kroos really was just was on for morale supoort after min 90 (at least)

I am not even mad - the team over the weeks radiated so much positive vibes. I'm happy for the way this tournament went for us. We showed Spain wasnt really all that unbeatable, -although possibly still the best team of the tournament. Now lets enjoy the rest of the show!

Hope Mbappe scores about 5 just to spite Luftwaffe Le Pen. I'm in on the CR7 drinking game. What about we say:

1 shot every time he's crying
2 shots every time he does the cowboy stance
5 shots for ever missed pen

?

He reminds me of toast. If it was unbuttered and tasteless and also had two hands and legs and a stupid fecking voice and this really annoying grin with this inflated toast ego because he used to be a professional toast. It's so strange because I really love toast but at the same time I fecking hate this jenas toast so much.

Don't think I've enjoyed watching France, ever.

For something to happen France either have to move Griezmann into midfield and bring another forward on, or Portugal need to haul off Micro-dick and play a proper center forward.
