QF | Spain vs Germany | Portugal vs France

Man, Portugal having to insanely handcuff themselves to compensate for Pepe and Ronaldo on this one.... more than previously. France are there for the taking too I reckon if they went Jota and put Ronaldo on later... but they've accepted doing it miracle 2016 style if anything.
Pepe has been good.

Bruno really crossed the line with his shit free kicks. it's time to give it to Ronnie for a change... for the next 5 years.

Ronaldo can’t influence a game of this level any more. And he’s 39 years old and a forward so it would be insane to expect him to be able to.

Whether Portugal or CL, I don't see him have a bad game. He needs to be studied
Apparently people from that specific region of Brazil have high longevity

Do you reckon Cristiano has a light bulb moment at 3am, bursts into his kids bedroom and gets them to line up as a makeshift wall in the garden only to blast one of them in the fecking head and then sulk off back to bed muttering to himself.

France can get in the bin with their snooze inducing football. All those players and yet they make England look like 1970s Brazil.

Michael Oliver did very well tbf. Best in this crappy match so far.

Can't believe Frankfurt wanted €100M or whatever it was for Muani.

And my goodness, Deschamps is worse than Southgate. There, I said it.

CIA Interrogation session 1 over.

15 minutes of reprieve.

Enchanched interrogation session 2 soon.

Think they've always been like this under Deschamps, the difference I feel is the players he has to choose from. They have 3 excellent centre mids but none are creators.
I'll get killed for saying this but they're crying out for a Pogba type (the good Pogba)

Mbappe had far more spark alongside a Giroud type and you also had Greizmann in the front three in those tournaments who could drop off and link with the midfield.

Just an underwhelming watch this tournament.

England have far better attacking options than France.

Pepe has been good.

Well sure, but they are heavily compensating for him by playing insanely deep, and it doesn't help that Leao wants to stay as their counter attack threat but there's also Ronaldo who's just gonna be up there being pocketed by Saliba who's barely breaking a sweat... and France aren't exactly great, so the solution of dropping Ronaldo likely helps, the issue is both of them being there. Just a total damp squid of a game.
