QF | Spain vs Germany | Portugal vs France

I think when the dust settles you will find all the german posters on here will agree Spain deserved that in fairness.

Two teams full of twats and Anthony Taylor is somehow the biggest prick on the field by a huge margin. Take a bow, son.

Can someone explain that pen moment? That was handball, no?

Clear handball, but some here argue there was a prior offside offense so it wouldn’t have counted anyway. I didn’t catch that so perhaps it’s moot, but it was a clear handball.

Thank you Taylor! What a joke this wannabe referee...

Still don’t get suspending players for yellow cards in tournaments when you want all your best players on show. It’s never made sense to me.

Fantastic game. Two top sides. Both played brilliantly at times and Germany can count themselves unlucky.

Always a shame to see the hosts go out, but that game had just about everything and could have gone either way.

And Portugal vs. France to come! What an evening.

Understandably the Germans feel hard done by, but I agree that wasn't a pen. The ball was absolutely blasted at him at close range. Giving those....that way lies madness.

By German standards I wouldn't call it an automatic penalty either, but UEFA's line has been to judge basically "everything" as a penalty for years, so in that context it was a ridiculous call. I mean just look at the penalty Denmark conceded and between the two decision the latter was by far the more logical call according to UEFA.

When I was a kid i always hoped spain would win something since they were cursed by always losing in quarters and i was a random fan of Butrageno. But ever since they actually become the best i cant stand them no more. so much cheating involved.

The game was very even but Germany should had one penalty, don't know what the ref was doing or how he didn't see that.

That was one of the worst refereeing performances of the tournament, and we've had some stinkers. How can anyone be this bad at a job and still get to perform it at the highest level? Can't wrap my head around it.

I despise English refs with a passion. It's mental that they keep getting awarded these big games.
