What do you suggest?

This. Hats off to Carragher who basically said exactly this as well.Well fecking done. Hats off to everyone involved bar a bunch of idiots who crossed the line and resorted to violence. Long may the protests continue.
Hehe! I suggested a (non-violent) action in the early days of the Glazers and I got banned.
I think the only thing that will hurt them is money or the lack of. All supporters refusing to attend (at least) say, 10 games of the new season. And repeat this sporadically throughout next season is one possible action.
And so it begins.
Poor Jay Glazer, he is an NFL commentator and unrelated to the MUFC glazers:
Sad, isn't it?There's some on here saying they've never been more proud to be a United supporter. Jesus Christ.
As a Manc who has family living near where the violence occurred, I'm glad you weren't. The less people breaking the law and causing chaos near them, the better. It will always be some assholes. It will not take away my feelings about the protest. So proud of them. I wish I were present myself.
Blackburn went from being a small club to a title and back to a small club.Make a stand by hurting the club commercially? Ensuring that we lose sponsors and our market power? Look at Blackburn Rovers and how that ended - we may end up in a similar trajectory although the probability of that is really low. If a single protest like this can descend into violence and vandalism then guess what will happen later?
I don't understand how any of this will pressurize Glazers to sell really. All this is doing is disturbing the players and the manager. Glazers will sell when they get a buyer willing to pay their price, else they will be happy to keep drawing dividends. Nothing fans do in England is going to ruffle their feathers in Florida.
Indeed. I can't understand anyone condemning the principle of direct, non violent action, even the break in. Those fans risked arrest and a criminal record for all our sakes. That's a sacrifice for a greater cause. Anyone who was violent against people or property was entirely wrong, but the principle is laudable: this is our club and we are far more important than any owners who want money. I support their right to civil disobedience today, which wasn't done not for their own benefit but for all of us. Let's have some fecking solidarity here, which is what our club was built upon. We are FANS of this club, not just customers. There is a massive difference.Well fecking done. Hats off to everyone involved bar a bunch of idiots who crossed the line and resorted to violence. Long may the protests continue.
Not sure. Sponsorship, broadcasting and fluffy United pillows generate more cash than gate receipts. We made more than £300m+ from broadcasting compared to over £100m through gates - pre Covid.
And so it begins.
A stock listing seems most realistic at the moment I guess, but that obviously leaves us open to another takeover eventually.I must say I am embarrassingly ignorant about this, but what are the realistic alternatives if the Glazers decide to step down? Who would have the money and the will to buy United? Or are there other alternatives?
And so it begins.
It’s not what anyone wants to see but it makes a point and that’s what required. Sending some email or wearing a scarf hardly registers with the Glazers. Even what we’ve seen today won’t register unless it’s repeated, has to be a concerted effort to get rid of them, the protest is more important than the game.
The Glazers don’t want to sell because they are greedy and no matter how much money they drain it will never be enough. They’ll be happy to take their dividends and consultancy fees terrified to sell unless they miss out. But if this continues the other scenario is they’ll be scared to see an asset depreciate and miss out on cash. At Utd only way that happens is by fans saying enough is enough.
Exactly. A line needs to be drawn. Do we consider Manchester United to be a property of the Glazers or do we consider it to be a football club that was purchased via hostile acquisition? To me the Glazers are fecking leeches because of who the great club is lagging behind. The facilities are outdated, the fans are not taken into account, the debt was literally saddled onto the club to make sure that the parasites are able to take the club over and milk it. Feck the cnuts, feck the leeches, feck the parasites. Love United Hate Glazers. Screw them.Indeed. I can't understand anyone condemning the principle of direct, non violent action, even the break in. This does nothing except give the media and the Glazers an easy rebuttal. Thugs don't represent fans. It does and will do nothing.
Down with the media. I would assume the point is to make them sell, even at a loss. Sky, the media, the banks and these plastic owners ...can go do one. The protest made my day. I was sleeping and would have missed the game. They did it for the fans

Did you get off your arse today mate?
Thugs?
Prick. What happened today was beautiful. I'm quite emotional about the whole thing.

They can’t have people believing that mass (peaceful) protest is the way forward. They’ll focus on the violence to detract from our cause and to shame anyone into thinking against doing it for other causes. It happens every time there’s a protest against wider societal issues. The Torygraph is a dressed up version of the Daily Mail. If they''re against it then something good has happened.
