What a proud day to be a United fan.
This will be buried and will have no mention in the press.
Definitely happened today. Saw it live on NBC's broadcast here in the States. Looked like he had stitches and a butterfly bandage with blood still on his face. The cop was walking by and chatted with Neville and Carragher. He was actually smiling and seemed in good spirits. Are we sure this is footage from today?
I've seen no mention of it on Sky and both Gary and Carragher said from what they saw the protest was peaceful.
Surely, they would have mentioned this?
The Tweet has already disappeared. What did it say?

It was a video of three police officers dragging a supporter to the ground. One of them punched him multiple times while he was on the floor being held down.Tweet deleted.

Fitting that the Glazers are Trump supporters/fundersInstantly reminded of the nightmarish attack on the capitol.

Think they need to get that well and truly out there.

Saw kids singing and holding flares. Big groups of local families all there with banners.
Then the organisation to get Liverpool boxed in at the hotel.
Shows what we can do. No other fanbase can call on what we can. Savour it.
There’s been loads of mentions of a copper who got his face slashed with a bottle. Must be this bloke.
Class, that.
Hot work protesting is.
If that made its way to the news the whole story would change direction. Brilliant!
What? Are you not proud of them? How dare you, you're not a true fan (according to most on here, that is).Officer has face slashed as Manchester United anti-Glazer protests force Liverpool game to be postponed

Youtube mirror for the video in case it gets deleted from Reddit, too
Hopefully the officers are held accountable but I won't hold my breathe. It still doesn't justify the face slashing and other violent acts.
Umm duh... spoony from the cafI must say I am embarrassingly ignorant about this, but what are the realistic alternatives if the Glazers decide to step down? Who would have the money and the will to buy United? Or are there other alternatives?
Hard to feel too outraged at the copper getting some digs in. If we’re not going to let a few fans being thugs tarnish the protest as a whole I don’t think we can also take mortal offence at a few coppers getting carried away. For all we know they just saw one of their pals have his face opened with a bottle so understandable if they’re a bit strung out.
Except there trained not to.
