Protest at Old Trafford

It’s not really though.

The FA will set a very harsh precedent in my opinion, we’re probably looking at a points deduction if they game doesn’t go ahead.

no chance we will just get away a fine or a replayed game.

They'll punish the fans for protesting in part following the ESL?

Makes no sense really.

Well atleast they did something.. this is very powerful.. It is not easy to do a financial boycott ..how do you ask a guy from Australia or US to stop buying. merchandise?
I mean it obviously has to be coordinated, but yes ticket sales and merchandise boycott is the way to go. I haven't bought any official United products for almost a decade now, it isn't a difficult thing to do.

These guys won't have achieved anything substantial but a stadium ban.

Imagine we have to forfeit the game and Liverpool make a late run to get top 4.

@Maciek seriously it was annoying enough to read your opinion on the protests once - let alone have it spamming every page. Armchair fan of the year award - you can have it, no one else has a chance of competing.

I’d rather see more of @Pexbo.
Three are a lot of armchair posters on here and it doesnt stop you from posting. Sorry.

Yes, outside. And this is the difference. Gathering outside won't postpone a game. Vandalism on the pitch does.

Kick off is delayed because the fans outside the stadium won't let the players or officials into the stadium, nothing to do with the vandalism inside.

Standing outside quietly waving flags won't achieve a single thing. The fans of all clubs owned by leeches like ours should be getting involved in this.

Where did all the money we’re encouraged to pour into groups go? Are flags and flares that expensive?

Opposition to the Glazers MUST be extremely lucrative.

It all seems very rag tag not a concerted campaign ran by a well funded group.

You are a fecking disgrace & a massive part of the problem. There are thousands and thousands all over Manchester you Glazer ****.

Love it - didn’t quite have the balls to say it but we was all thinking it.

Respect for protesting. But they should keep it outside Old Trafford and not invading the pitch.
Exactly. It looks mostly good spirited which is great to see but it’ll only take a few idiots or an accident to have the papers switch the narrative like when Woodward’s house was attacked.

3 free points to Liverpool might help them get into the CL next season. They can always thank Uniteds fans later.

Anyone who doesn’t condone the fan protests in the midst of a global pandemic, causing the game to be delayed, possibly cancelled, criminal damage to occur, trespassing and embarrassing the club is a Glazer-supporting millennial wallflower snowflake armchair fan who has never set foot in Manchester.

/s

Some on here Moaning and hoping the game doesn’t get called off - pathetic!!

This is what needs to happen.

They shouldn't have done it before a game against our fiercest rivals. The game will most probably be called off and this will have an adverse effect on the psyche of the players. Even if the fans mean no harm, the players are always on the edge about safety. They can't give their 100% when this happens before a match.

I hope the game is called off now and the players are given some rest. It will be tough on them especially having mentally prepared to play Liverpool.

I agree with the protest and that Glazers are not the best owners but they could have done this on another day. I don't condone this behavior and I am surprised at others they do. This is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
This is exactly why it is the right occasion. A lot of people attracted to that game, Sunday afternoon, Manchester.
This is the way to do the protest.

On the contrary, doing it against our biggest rivals is exactly when it should be on, maximum exposure.

If you can’t see the benefit of getting a game postponed, wanting the Glazers out isn’t for.

Whether it’s morally or criminally right is a different argument but it has benefits.

This really might see a change. Fans realising they have immense power.

This season has already shown the club doesn't need match going fans to run and they don't care about regular protests.

Direct peaceful action is what's needed to get our message across. I'd prefer a sit down on the pitch, but there was always going to be idiots and vandals in the crowd.

It's such a reductive argument that the actions of so few individuals is somehow indicative of the overwhelming majority protesting in the right way. If you ceased the operation of protesting on the basis of rogue self-interest then there would be no protest in history, profitable or otherwise, that would have passed the criteria of being deemed ideal.

Few individuals? There's several hundred clowns on our pitch judging by the photos. Get them off, arrest them for trespassing/vandalism, I don't care. Then kick-off. End this charade.

Let's hope the Premier League do the sensible thing and dock Liverpool points.

I dont think you understand the whole point of protesting.
Convenience and being agreeable arent key components.

I’m supporting a protest against the Glazers, but think they take it too far. Not sure what’s the biggest motivation for the people forcing themselves into the stadium: love for United or egocentric action. Reminds me of the «Capitol Riot».

If the FA deducts points because people are protesting and as a consequence a game will be postponed (like its a big deal or something), then i hope we go rejoin the ESL.

Also why are the protesting trying to stop the team bus leaving Lowry hotel, this ain't ideal preparation for our squad before such a big game.
Youre equating this to getting the Glazers out though. Thats the side of the argument i cant understand.
I just see a game being called off and the Glazers still being owners next week. We had Beckham carrying around Green and Gold during a game when the fans first protested and they didnt give a feck and thats when they had 90 minutes of protesting Utd fans on global tv 2 times a week. The reasons this had to happen doesnt resonate with me. We have done this on bigger platforms before.

Can't get my head around those being so arsed about the game getting delayed/called off. Do you not understand this would be a huge win for Glazers out? It would hit them where it hurts.
How so? Serious question.

Broadcaster money is already spent.
