Protest at Old Trafford

I'm literally laughing at all those people who think that invading Old Trafford and showing vandalism on live TV is something that will make Glazers sell the club.

You're embarrassing the club we all love, you're devastating the ground you "love".

Two hundred drunken idiots have just made Glazers sell the club? Are you serious?

They've embarrassed the club, that's it.
You are a fecking disgrace & a massive part of the problem. There are thousands and thousands all over Manchester you Glazer ****.

Is it the lack of emotion in the game nowadays ( in the PL ) that makes people say that this is to much?Am I a violent person to say that this the right and maybe only thing to do?
From a german view this hardly comes close to protest we reagularly see after a club with a big fanbase gets relegated.
Köln comes to mind here... U could not see the stands so much smoke was in that stadium or look what Schalke"fans" did recently(wich was definitly crossing all lines)

Suppose it is good that our fans are making their voices heard. All fans of American teams protest against is Disco.

How do you "obedients" think sitting at home and telling people how mature you are on the internet does?

This is just about the biggest, loudest and hardest hitting statement United fans could have made against the Glazers. Descending on the stadium in our thousands, breaking onto the pitch, showing that our desire to be rid of them is more important than a game against our biggest rivals, even if it meant City being handed the title today. I honestly can't think of a more powerful message.

Every news outlet on the planet is going to report this and show these images. Not one sponsor or commercial partner will be able to ignore it. And yes, on it's own it might not be enough - but then we do it again. Keep doing it and keep disrupting games until broadcasters and sponsors start stepping in.

But sitting at home and throwing shade at the people actually trying to do something is pathetic. Trying to take some sort of moral high ground while doing so is even worse.

Spot on.

Telling someone "eff off" isn't in any way an opinion.
Telling someone off happens all the time on the caf. It's not reportable. It's his opinion that the protesters are a disgrace. It's your opinion that they're not.

Neither is a reportable offence.

Game off or not? Would love this game to be played with fans as the final game of the season.

Playing tomorrow worst scenario since it gives us worse preparation for the Roma second leg.

If these braindead people get the match cancelled I will burn every green and yellow flag I ever see.

can we have a seperate thread for the bootlickers?

its killing the positive vibe

To those carrying the shame of a fanbase in this thread for us, trot over to twitter and tweet Glazers out, time to go etc, that should do it

A big thank you to this guys for doing this. Non-violent protest, showing the owners that fans can mess with their main source of income. I'd say "Well, done!"

To say they're just 200 drunken idiots is very narrow minded. I'm going to hazard a guess that you've never met local united fans like this who love the club and will always be united fans.

'Devastating the ground' - that honestly made me laugh out loud.

I'm saying protest has be disruptive.

As for "everyone can break in wherever they want?" Dont be a drama queen I'm saying that after 16 years of protest nothing has changed, so the level has had to increased.
Sure but maybe we need to look at why the protests over the years have failed.

The Glazers have benefited hugely by the fact the leading campaign against them has been so moronic and run by people who don’t have an achievable aim.

“Immediately sell to someone who probably doesn’t exist “ isn’t something that kept them up 10 years ago and it won’t be today either

It's great to see fans showing up to protest but unfortunately it's being spoiled by those storming the stadium with alcohol drinks in hand, ain't nobody going to take the good intentions of protest seriously with these type of opportunistic people just looking to get half cut and cause trouble.

I support the protests outside the stadium but causing the game to be delayed is an attack on our own players, manager and all the staff, both backroom and hospitality etc. Not cool.

If there’s no match day thread, will Wumminator have enough material in here for one of his threads?
