Premier League May 3-5

If Fulham go down, they will never ever get back up. Fact.
Tony Cottee told me. And Tony knows.

A few of my mates have bought Everton kits and I know quite a few Liverpool supporters are going the game today.

They're going to regret that decision when City take the lead inside the first 10 minutes.

What a terrible job OGS has done at Cardiff by the way, backed with 10m to spend in January, taken 12 points from 17 games and they'v just got worse both defensively and in attack. Given they've got Chelsea next week it'll probably slump to 12 from 18. Perhaps worst is the manner of some of their defeats, thrashings at home to Hull and Palace, 4-0 away last week to Sunderland. Just a complete capitulation.

Of course you have to question decisions made before he came in, 20m spent on Caulker and Medel (who's been a woeful signing) and their defence is absolutely shocking still. If you're going to be paying 11m for a player at a team like Cardiff it has to be someone who's going to score or create a lot of goals.

Fulham have just showed no heart these last few weeks either, 3-0 to Stoke is appalling when Stoke have nothing to play for.

EFC: Howard, Baines, Stones, Jagielka, Alcaraz, Coleman, McCarthy, Osman, Barkley, Naismith, Lukaku.

MCFC: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy; Yaya Toure, Javi Garcia; Milner, Aguero, Nasri; Dzeko

Looks like 3-5-2 for Everton.

Still think Barry & Mirallas are a big miss. If City score in the first 15 mins, I'll give up.

No way. I think the last 15 is when this will be decided. Look at Sunderland. Had Palace been better finishers they'd have also got something as City were troubled throughout.

As good as last weekend was, this one could be the complete opposite. It's started badly. Everton win on the cards?

I would have felt bad for Fulham and Cardiff with our shit performance, but looking at their results they don't deserve anything.

Why is Fernandinho not starting?

Garcia's been in good form, more defensively solid and physical than Fernandinho. Personally would start Fernandinho but Garcia I think completely frees Yaya whereas Fernandinho roams forward occassionally.

Do Everton fans want their team to lose? I'd think so.

It's really split in the city. I would say most are just half-arsed about the match. They don't mind any result. If they win they're happy, but if they lose they'd also be happy. I expect those at the match to be fully behind their team though as when you go to the match something just takes over and it's nigh on impossible to want your team to lose.

Coleman is my weather vane. If he doesn't make those bombing runs down the flank I'll suspect there is an indifference to Everton's attitude.

Real shame Arsenal didn't play and win today. Would have rendered Everton's remaining fixtures pointless.

Didn't Distin say they'd actually discussed the dilemma of helping Liverpool? That alone must have sowed some seeds of doubt.

Everton far too open at the back early on. Not good signs, Aguero will exploit that space eventually.

This game is equivalent to that game against Newcastle a few years back when City needed to go and get a win there to close in on the title and Newcastle were in red hot form sitting in 5th. Yaya Toure won it for them that day. Here's hoping he does the same today.

You just know those City bastards will feck up this one though, unlike two years ago, albeit this Everton side is actually quite good but then again so were Newcastle.
