Citeh still have work to do. If anyone can spoil a party .Big Sam can.
They should probably go for a wide attacker like Hazard this summer, someone with pace and trickery. Toure and Silva are a great core to have in the middle running the game, but out wide Nasri, Milner and co don't have the greatest cutting edge. Navas is bit one dimensional.
When Aguero plays he gets in behind, beats men and generally gives them a lot more pace and penetration, which they could make up for if they got a skillful wide man.
That Hazard point is very valid. When they were struggling against Villa last night, I couldn't help but think what a difference Hazard (a similar type player) would have made to the game. I think City badly lack a direct, pacey winger of the Hazard mould.
Nasri and Navas?
Nothing like Hazard?
Who would you describe as "like Hazard" then, or do you just mean "Hazard"?
Well a far more direct player; ala Robben, Hazard. For me, Nasri especially, is far more of a playmaker type player. Navas is good, but again, he doesn't really provide the same kind of threat as players like Hazard, Robben, even Ronaldo.
What's amazing is the football writers voted Gerrard ahead of Toure this season.
You made that up, it was never the narrative (which was they should've bought a striker instead of another technoidget). They quickly wrote all this guff after their predicted narrative of Arsenal signing Ozil being the difference came to nothing.

It was a genius signing - the press didn't think so from the get go and the narrative was clearly £42m 'flop' even though he was very good all season and we suffered badly when he was injured.
If Arse signed Higuain (not Ozil) they would have done better.
You sold Bale we signed Mesut Ozil, Mesut Ozil, Mesut Ozil (fade....). We got a world-class player who lifted the whole team. How was Ozil a genius signing?
If we got Suarez and Ozil we'd have pissed the league. They'd probably have won it had they got Suarez instead.

To the fourth place again. What a player.
Aaaaaand he lifted the whole team...to the exact same finish you achieved last season. Sensational.
Well you don't want to be laughed off the forumWe made a profit in player trading actually. Same as we've done for quite a few seasons now.
But far more importantly, I didn't claim our business was genius.
People seriously still think that Ozil was an unnecessary signing?
Christ.
If we'd signed Suarez with no Ozil, we wouldn't have won the league.
Even Suarez needs providers.
Yes you would have.
For god's sake you've been the acceptable and non-ridiculed face of THFC on here but if you score an own-goal like that you can't expect anything but derision.Yeah Pete, I've never been one to 'banter' about football, either in real life or on the internet so I think you're barking up the wrong tree here if you think I'm the one to do this with.
Suffice to say, you made a ridiculous statement and were pulled up on it. Just accept and move on rather than throwing out silly, jaded one-liners. ]
If not, then please continue as you are.
