Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

Newcastle player dives onto a foot to try to win a penalty  Should be banned for that.

We only got lmbasted once and that was for the Sheffield Wed game when the ref got injured. It was only 7 minutes as I recall.

TBF, it was opposition fans that moaned not any pundits
So when SAF retired they pundit didn't say that time has finally run out on Fergie time. They brought up Fergie time every time we got a goal in added time.

What is Fergie time?

Fergie time is the term given to an excessive amount of injury time – named after former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

It is the common perception that during matches the Scot’s United teams were involved in, they were given “as much time as needed” to score a winner or draw level.

The media has often used the phrase and it can be heard and seen in live commentary and news websites and papers alike, distributing it throughout the world.

Newcastle the better team so far, they can't finish for shit though.

Newcastle need the transfer deadline day extended to when the sun blows up.

I think the point is, Pep is supposed to be this visionary manager who only wins playing he greatest football known to mankind not scoring a flukey scuffed shot deep into added time

Yeah and it probably grates him that he's won that way today! Point is though if they continue to win ugly then they'll win things, I'd rather then play amazing football and draw/lose that play shite and win.

When are Newcastle supporters going to realize that being passionate is not helping their team? It only makes the players realize the mismatch between the fans' ambitions and their capabilities. If the geordies stayed away in their tens of thousands, I'm convinced the team would benefit.

Waiting on FCBarca to come and tell us how this game will be remembered for 20 years and is better than a 4-0 win.

You can't play shite every match and still winning every match, though. You can do it for some matches but definitely not the whole time. They don't look impressive at all and struggled to defeat Brighton and Bournemouth.

Feck me @yumtum its a bit early to trot out the win ugly line. They've already dropped points due to a shit 45 and horrendous finishing and severally got away with it today. All within 5 days of each other.
Thats stretching the term of continuing to win ugly to it's limits.

All these 3PM kick offs are dire, no goals in any of them.

FA should toss West Ham a point for being forced to play their first 4 games away. Guess one of them being at Newcastle is as good as that anyway.

Sure, but it's an ominously fortunate opening, winning ugly even when they play badly, etc. We know the talent they have must gel at some point.

Yeah although We say that but it's far from guaranteed. They remind me of Us under LVG and a bit of us last season.

I think we can agree that if they play like this for any prolonged period they will be out of he picture.

Isn't it because of the World Athletic Championships and getting the stadium back to normal?Serve them right for nabbing an Olympic Stadium.
