Premier League matchweek 2 (august 19th-21th)

He only won the league last season. Poor from Conte.

Today was poor from Chelsea. But they got the 3points so credit to them. But the were playing like a wba or Stoke team, hardly looked like champions. But again credit to them and as always spurs will remain a bottling team.

Spurs dominated but created little in fairness. Dont think defeat was harsh. Thought Morata was decent, going to be a good league this year. Way too early for any title predictions though

Surely it must be time for Spurs to upgrade on Lloris. So many howlers every season.

Conte is such a smug twat too. His faux-passion is tiresome.

Spurs had a little spell at the end of first half/beginning of second but none of them look anything special so far.
Yeah apart from that spell at the end of the first half, they really didn't do anything to deserve the win. They struggled to break the Chelsea defence.

Chelsea were excellent defensively speaking, offered very little in attack though. They're going to be hard to break down this season (last weeks game aside)

Spurs were really poor, severley lacking pace and the movement in midfield was non-existent. Eriksen was the only bright spark but he can't do everything himself.

The title is going to Manchester. Which side is yet to be seen but both teams look a class above the London sides & Liverpool.

Missed the first ten of the second but all the 'pressure' the were supposedly putting Chelsea under the didn't force Courtois to make single save.

They had a lot of posession and they camped outside the Chelsea box. Lots of foreplay and no penetration.

A bit harsh. I think 'Pool would rather have Lloris than Mignolet or Karius. He's not on DDG's or Cech's level but he is a class Keepert nevertheless. The Poch is actually quite strict with his players

My opinion might be slanted because of what just happened but Lloris has let in some really pathetic goals. De Gea and Courtois are easily better than him, Cech is playing with a crap defence so I think he's a bit underrated. Mignolet I think is the only who comes close to being as poor as him.

1-1 would probably have been better for us, but the style of that late winner and meaning Tottenham are straight off losing a "home" game is good news.
Keeps both teams 3 points away from us as well.

Tottenham won't win the league anyway so Chelsea winning is a bad result. It's a huge boost for them after their chaotic start and gives them something to build on. I think Conte will have them bang in the mix again for the title.

They were bound to have the lion's share of possession though given the way Chelsea set out to play.

I think this Chelsea team won't fall off like people like to believe after the defeat last week. On their worst day they still have more cojones than the likes of Spurs, Pool and Arse.

so did City first like 10 games of last season. They were on fire and ended top 4 just... Xmas time will be the time to judge

Spurs got tactically outmanouvered by Chelsea...winning goal was down the right side of Spurs, wonder if Kyle Walker would have had a say in defending that. Terrible loss of possession and such a soft, soft goal to concede.

Joe Hart received some criticism last week for conceding Martial's goal so one should suspect Lloris to receive a massive bollocking....but that isn't usually the case now is it.

I don't think they'll quite get 90,000 in there, but I'd be surprised if the North London derby didn't get more than the current PL record (76,073 United vs Aston Villa 2007)

73,000+ there today, so not very far off bettering a full house at OT. They had 85,000 vs Monaco last season.
Bet Levy's eyes lit up at the thought of those sort of crowds, when in the end it might actually work against Spurs.
