Odegaard is a Giggs-esque captain and makes sense. The other three are odd. Zinchenko never plays. Jesus is never fit. Jorginho doesn’t seem to be a galvanising captain.
I’m a casual Arsenal fan as my girlfriend is a season ticket holder. Any idea why White is out these last two? I rate him above Timber as a right back, and rate Timber above Calafiori as a left back. Obviously White is out today.
You seem to be operating as a back 3 in possession today, with Calafiori or Timber dropping into the 3 depending on what side of the pitch the ball is on. It looks really good. Do you reckon Timber is the player to spend a season playing LB or RB depending on whether White or Calafiori is starting? or do you reckon this is now your best back four?
