Premier League Gameweek 6

Never enough in that to be a penalty for me. Hand on the should and he goes down, straight out of the Salah playbook that one was

So on this forum we all believe that Arsenal, Liverpool, and City all get decisions. Like I'd said earlier, starting to feel like refs don't just favor any particular team but all the big teams when they play
It's the type of "foul" and level of contact I haven't seen us get a penalty for since Klopp has his Fachts moment about our penalty record. City, Arsenal and Liverpool regularly get those decisions.

Rodri against us in the derby last year for example with delayed and exaggerated reaction to contact is somehow given by VAR minutes later.

Gabriel wrestling Hojlund to the floor against Arsenal was not given.

There's clearly a window of acceptable subjectivity for each referee in what they determine is a penalty. The threshold for City, Arsenal and Liverpool is at the entry point to that window. We are at the opposite end and effectively need an absolute irrefutable incident for a penalty to be given.

Second or third biggest club in the world. Not even top twenty five for teams.
I worded myself wrong. I meant big more in terms of performances and being a Top Team. The three top teams in England appear to get decisions. I think if we were a better team and around the top, we'd get them too. The year we had Bruno score a bucket load of penalties and were in the Top 2, a lot of rivals thought we got a lot of decisions as well.

City definitely get refereed diffently to everyone else, how Haaland finished Sundays match so much as a yellow card when he committed 2 or 3 red card offences during the game prooves it.

City also get pens awarded to them that no other team would ever get.

Do we think part of it is ETH being too meek? Couldn't stand Klopp but he'd really go after the referees after a decision aggrieved him, and now they get a tonne of decisions

I think status of the club also has something to do with it and unfortunately we aren't currently seen as one

Yup. Ten Hag is way too meek. He needs to call the referees out. SAF never stood for their shite.

The fans who wanted to keep ETH and pressure INEOS into doing so, have pretty much destroyed our season.
Our players are not good enough. Compare Bruno with the other teams’ stars.

Yip.

Not helped by media love in for some managers.

Jota is one of the biggest cheats in the game. Remember last season he took a dive about 3 steps after the initial contact, when he was through on goal, and still got awarded a penalty!

cnut would rather dive than score an honest goal!

Thats completely incorrect
Really? When did we stop being a big team then?

I mean fair enough, I’d argue that something like 2019 is probably the point at which the aura had completely worn off. None of our managers since Fergie have succeeded - because they weren’t good enough. The five men who have managed us since the retirement of Sir Alex have all been pants, which demonstrates awful recruitment by the Glazers. I hope that INEOS know their shit (they definitely seem to) and that they hire somebody who can actually improve us and at least put us on the road to becoming properly successful.

City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa will definitely finish above us, Newcastle and Spurs maybe as well. So we’re playing for 7th or 8th place again this season.

Wolves are so frustrating to watch...one player does something and the next one just gives it up cheapily

Did Wolves grasp that they were already losing the game? They'd be fecking piling into the box against us in that situation
