Premier League Gameweek 5

Can it be offside seeing as Gabriel didn't play a forward pass? He's playing it back to Saliba and bounces off the Everton player into Nketiah's path. I always thought you can't be offside of a backwards pass?

We are not allowed to see Vieira-Martinelli more than 20mn per week, those are the rules...

Still unsure why Pickford wasn't a target for us.
Composed on the ball, distribution is decent, can save, probably would have jumped at the chance of a step up.
bit of a liability at times - but then I said/say that about Onana who has not impressed me so far...

Neville has been to Stockport park and had the process shown to him and explained to him but still comes across thick as feck

Arsenal are going to score any time now... Everton are absolute dog crap

Maybe if you got the place name right, we'd trust your opinion more. He's absolutely right about the angles

Everton are still dog turd, such a bad bad side. Terrible manager too. Beto looks out of his depth in this league.

They’re finally going down.

Direction of pass doesn't matter, Spurs found that out in the CL last season.

How come the offside comes off the initial pass and not the deflected part off the Everton player? Intentions totally irrelevant too here. All a bit wild this rule.

Everton’s decision making would drive me mental if I was a fan

I mean, that’s a penalty in most games against most teams right?

Newcastle on sky again next weekend.. I swear they’ve been on tv every weekend this season.. as if anyone outside of that ground gives a feck about them.

Right you are...

Can you be offside if the ball is passed backwards? Yes, it is possible to be judged offside if the ball is passed backwards, as long as the player who receives the ball is in front of it when it is initially passed. For this to happen, the ball must deflect off a defender and into their path.

We almost went 30 seconds without an Arsenal player feigning injury there.

Yeah, I know he is prone to the odd error, Onana is too as you say.
I guess Pickford may well have cost more than Onana maybe, I don't know.

I think Pickford is slightly the better keeper than Onana though.
