Premier League Gameweek 36

Disappointed Everton won't be taking any points off City. Had hoped for a draw, somewhat optimistically.

Title race is virtually over as it is and it will almost certainly be if Arsenal fail to beat Brighton later.

Think this result was expected
Arsenal dropping four points v west ham and Southampton is what will cost them ultimately

Historically both fixtures aren’t a big problem to City. Everton away is always tough for City.
Brentford beat them earlier this year and these are the 2 best Brentford and Brighton sides pretty much ever... Everton are historically not relegation candidates

Yeah. I've been fooling myself, trying to make this title race more exciting with the idea that City might drop points somewhere but in reality Arsenal fecked themselves over with those two results. Such stupid dropped points for a title chasing team.

Yup, neither is going to be an easy game though the good thing for City is they won't have any CL distraction to deal with. But yet another midweek game might make it tough.

FA cup the weekend after too. Chelsea is their only easy game remaining. Madrid, Chelsea, Brentford and Brighton away all 3-4 days apart, United cup final the weekend after, possible CL final the weekend after. Not many tougher ends to the season.

Haaland not selling that as assault, what is it? The pub leagues?

How is that something which is within the laws of the game? Haaland’s closest to the ball and Pickford just runs him down from behind with a hand slapping him in the head for good measure.

Haaland goes down a bit easy. Pickford lucky, mind.

I honestly don't get how that wasn't given. If that was United I'd be screaming

Yup, they've had quite a brutal run with these endless midweek games and you got to think it'll catch up with them at some point even this close to the end of the season. The Cup final is probably the one time they'll be fully rested.

Nowhere near enough force to send that big lummox to the deck. The commentators having a laugh there.

It's irrelevant. Pickford gets none of the ball and punches Haaland.

He has to go down as if you don't go down you don't get given fouls in football.

Blame the refs for that because they've made a world where fouls are never given unless you go down.

It's as clear a foul as you'll ever see.

:lol:He didn't punch him.

City are so good, I feel teams just coast through their matches to fight another day where they expect to get something out of the game.

West Ham rested players, now Everton resting their striker.

You might want to watch it again. Haaland didn't get a punch.

Well he goes to punch the ball gets no where near and hits him with his arm or forearm or something.

Gets none of the ball and goes into player. It's a foul.
For me it was clumsy, but Haaland was looking for a pen, throwing himself to the floor. Contact doesn't have to mean a foul every time.
