Premier League Gameweek 31

Don't feel for Arsenal but I think people underestimate how difficult it is to win the title now.

City have raised the bar. Klopp went the distance but he could only yield one title in seven years.

They have raised the bar by cheating and have stolen trophies from teams who played by the rules. It’s a massive issue with the league. Arsenal deserve this title but they won’t get it because of the squad City have been allowed to keep, one that was built by consistently skirting the rules. It’s not right.

They're fecked, even a draw at City won't help them at this rate. And they have Newcastle and Brighton to play.

Done. Advantage City now. Arsenal need a point at the Etihad which will be tough. Hope they get their act together but dropping 4 points in two weeks is poor. From two 2-0 leads as well. Both times they look terrible in the 2nd half

Can never depend on Arsenal for anything.

Advantage City you’d feel now what with a game in hand and home advantage in a couple of weeks. How have the greatest team that’s ever played the game managed to bottle it?

With such showings they have no chance in direct game against city either. Haaland and KDB wont go out early.

Losing a 2-0 goal lead two weeks in a row shows we're wobbling now, pressure of the title race getting the better of us. City, on the other hand, look imperious.

Is it cheating if they’re allowed to do it? We’ll see what happens with the PL investigation but if that comes back with nothing but an apology people are going to have to just suck it up and admit they played within the rules.

The closer they get to the end, the more tense they've gotten. Can't be they're exhausted as they've been pretty much playing only once a week for a while.

In fairness you can expect this year in year out unless a team like ourselves gets backed with big money like Qatar. Maybe Newcastle break it but at the moment City have a stranglehold on the League. Teams might get close, but when you can effectively field two world class XIs then ultimately City will prevail.

Second half Arsenal were soooo bad they couldn't even score in brothel.

Liverpool had the best in the world or atleast world-class LW, RW, CB, LB, RB and GK during that time and still could manage only one title. The difficulty has never been this high in any league.

That's the big thing. What that does to them mentally. They have Southampton and Chelsea at home coming up, City in between. They will convince themselves they didn't throw it away.

It actually doesn’t change much as they still need a draw at the Emptiness which they even needed if they had won today.
But City were already huge favourites to win that game.

Quite the hammer blow for Arsenal this, the way they are stumbling at the moment they will have to beat City.

Exactly this. Sure, they pushed City all the way multiple times but the metrics would've been good enough to win the title any other year.

City are a relentless machine. The worst part is this was a free hit season for Haaland. You'd hope they take the gas off the pedal next season if they won the treble but who knows?

Makes their trip to Newcastle must win though

This team is still young. Doesn't know how to let off the gas in a way they still control the game like City. Saka and Partey ..two of the guys that got us here are a little off form as well.

Need Saliba back asap.

Yeah you're right. Huge game vs City to come, have we had a straight out title decider in the league recently? Can't recall one that mattered so much.

So Liverpool last week set up with the jab, West Ham dealt them a body blow, and City to deliver the ultimate Knockout punch! Arsenal have fecked it to be honest. Won’t hang on to that measly single point when city are in the form they in.
