Premier League Gameweek 29

Who do I want to win City v Liverpool pls?Think City will go on a nosedive if they lose this on the back of Monaco but Liverpool are closer to being caught. Any advice appreciated.
Draw or City win. City have the more difficult fixtures.

Feeling a little bit more optimistic after seeing that City line-up. It might work of course but playing Toure as the only midfielder in front of that defence against us is gonna cause them all sorts of problems if we play our own attacking football.

Now just need Saints to get a draw first.

Oriol Romeu did a great job in pressing Wanyama and unsettling him. It's made him more nervous and forced him to drop deeper in order to not leave gaps.

I'm surprised by seeing Winks come in for Son. I thought that he'd come on for Alli. Spurs are going strikerless now with Alli moving up to replace Son. Winks coming on should help Wanyama and Dembélé now and help the midfield maintain possession.

Trippier coming on for Walker. It seems like Poch wants more energy from his wing backs in order to stretch Southampton as Walker hasn't pushed up as often as he did in the first half.

Yup, I expected that. Redmond is coming off for Rodriguez now, and that should make it easier for Spurs to see the game off.

Spurs fans sound thick as shite when they sing.

Glad we only have one more trip to WHL, it's such a shit hole.

Color me baffled! What is Guardiola thinking? I'd be anything other than surprised if pool doesn't score a couple today

Alli should be booked for diving yes, but since it is Spurs we should be satisfied enough with him not getting a penalty and the opposition player sent off.

Shane Long has been offside more times in 1 game than most forwards manage in their entire careers

How can Southampton be this dumb when they play Tottenham but look like world beaters when they play us.

What a deadbeat Saints performance. Expected more from them.

You'd expect Spurs to consolidate second position from here. Their next four fixtures are foregone conclusions:

Burnley (A)
Swansea (A)
Watford (H)
Bournemouth (H)

Easy 12 points with no European commitments.

I really think footballers have spent too long being brainwashed by Sky. The effort Spurs put into the league when competing for the honour of getting into the CL is vastly better than that which they put in when actually in the competition. It makes no sense.

With players' increasing fitness and defensive nous, English football is becoming a dichotomy of cups versus the league: teams can only appear to compete in one or the other.

Burnley away is not a foregone conclusion to be fair but I agree they are looking very good for a top 2 or 3 finish.
