For some reason we seem to get more fortunate against City than against any other side, I dont usually feel like we get descions especially in big games. But against City and maybe Spurs I feel we are always a tad fortunate.
Bitter, yes. Jealous, no.a free kick is a goal scoring chance, and Chelsea created many opportunites in 2nd half.
Chelsea were not lucky to win , thet earnt that win thru hard work and not giving up...Stoke has 1 shot on target in 90 mins which was the penalty.
You just sound bitter and jealous that Chelsea keep plugging away and getting these points/wins no matter how a team plays against them....i.e. trying to kick them off the park ala Stoke and Utd

A free kick isn't a goal scoring chance. A goal scoring chance (or a clear cut chance) is like the one Cahill got handed to him for the 2nd goal. Shooting from a tight angle is a half-chance at best. Like the Pedro shot in the 2nd half, you rarely see those go in because the keeper should save them all day just like the Willian goal which the keeper was at fault for.
Chelsea didn't create a single good chance in the 2nd half. I'm not saying they didn't deserve the win, I'm saying they were lucky to get it.
Yeah exactly, top four is going to go to the wire. We have some horrible aways against teams we traditionally have struggled with. The fixture list on paper is favourable, but its anything but.Its weird but you had a couple of big ones go against you too today. Its just hard to know what to make a game like today, I dunno if the ref was for us or against us, whether we deserved to win (we created so many opportunities, Aguero at the end) or lose (Lallana). You guys really are our bogey team though, we never seem to be able to beat you and I still have nightmares from long ago when you beat us 4-0 in the league cup, and than 4 days later everyone was like "that won't happen again.", it didn't and you beat us 6-0 instead.
but they didnt struggle 2nd half v Stoke...infact they created more chances than the 1st and Costa had that backline in his pocket.Bitter, yes. Jealous, no.
You saying Stoke didn't work hard or that they gave up?
Doesn't matter what the opposition did, I'm talking about Chelsea here. That Willian goal was not a goal scoring chance. 2 men in the wall and a goal at the near post from that angle. That's on Grant in goal.
I'm sure Chelsea fans agree with me that they struggle to create chances but they don't care because they're winning. Usually they play well in the first half but fail to capitalize on the performance. Struggle more in the 2nd half but do better for some reason or another.
They deserve a point if they score a goal to level and deny the opposition opportunies to score yes. Their whole team worked towards not losing the game but Pieters gave it away in the end. I didn't say Chelsea didn't deserve it, I'm directly comparing their wins to a bunch of draws from United as a comparison between the teams.Do you mean a club which had 37% possession, committed 16 fouls, 5 yellow cards, 1 red card and had only ONE opportunity to score (in a soft penalty given by the referee) deserve 1 point from the game? In 2nd half Chelsea hit the post and hit the bar.
If you can go and press all the game with high determination to win then it is highly that the opponent will make mistakes. Take it and score then you are absolutely deserved to win that game.
Of course Willian meant to score it like that. It was a difficult hit but I'm saying Grant was at fault. Tight angle from the left side, Willian shoots it to the right of the wall and hits it down by the post. Both Grant's positioning of the wall and himself were poor. He was completely to blame for that goal.but they didnt struggle 2nd half v Stoke...infact they created more chances than the 1st and Costa had that backline in his pocket.
Willian meant to do what he did which was to pass/shoot the ball onto the net from where he was. Ok..so the GK wasnt expecting it and mistimed his dive but that doesnt mean it was not a goal scoring chance ...Willian with his vision made it into a goal scoring chance.
Stoke didnt give up but were outplayed by a better team who created a ton more chances than they did.
the willian goal wasnt lucky...he spotted the keeper in a bad position and took advantageThey deserve a point if they score a goal to level and deny the opposition opportunies to score yes. Free kicks aren't good chances. They are low percentage shots. You all seem to be confusing shots with chances again and again. You can shoot from 30 meters out and score but that doesn't mean that was a chance created.
Chelsea were always going to create more chances than Stoke. That's just how football is when a stronger team meets a weaker one. They didn't however create a ton. Not a single good chance in the 2nd half when the score was tied. Costa didn't have anyone in his pocket. He was too busy focusing on getting people sent off instead of focusing on himself just like against United in the cup. He played poorly and was mishitting balls again.
Compare that game to United's game against Bournemouth. Compare the performance of the keepers. Chelsea beat Swansea recently in a similar manner to Stoke. A goal up and then Swansea level just before half time after doing nothing all half. 2nd half Chelsea were not nearly as good as in the first half and lucky not to concede. Struggling in the match until Fabianski lets in a easy shot from Pedro. These kind of incidents make up a huge difference between Chelsea and United in the league so of course I'm bitter about it because United are having to work more with all the other games whilst Chelsea practically get free wins and a nice rest inbetween. It's mostly annoying because we get people talking about how they are playing so well and others worrying about performances under Mourinho when there's been little between the teams in terms of performance. Difference is mostly that Chelsea's back 6 has remained unchanged for 20 games in a row and that's simply because they play a lot less. It's like Leicester last season execpt the league is a lot better this year which means Chelsea have had to be better than Leicester. They clearly deserve to be on top of the league but the point margin is very kind to them.
Besides Wijnaldum, I think Can had a really good game as well. Showed what he was about as a player.
Too bad we had to wait until March for him to play himself into form...
