He was really woeful in the second half. Made a few attempts to pass the ball forward but gave possession away repeatedly, thus breaking down his own team's attacking build up. I know he is a "destroyer" but he is supposed to break up the opponents' play not his own team's

His team mates had made runs, only for him to give the ball away to opponents, very poor passing technique. It was clear that you were missing a more technical player in midfield with Kante and Matic offering little penetration with their passing.
Without Hazard your team lacked any offensive thrust and Stoke were able to stifle you for long periods. You were lucky to win the game as the winner was extremely fortunate, plus Stoke were denied a goal when Martins Indi was clearly onside. Could easily have ended 1-1 or 2-2. Hazard would have absolutely crushed these guys.
So it shows that you are over reliant on him, to an even larger extent than United rely on Zlatan. Without Hazard you can't really create chances from open play especially against bus parking teams.

Chelsea's chances came mostly from set pieces and free kicks. In open play, you lacked penetration and thrust. Clearly feeling the loss of Hazard. Your finishing was poor. Considering this was against a team with a terrible home record, as well as one that has nothing to play for, you should have won more easily instead of relying on an 87th minute gift wrapped winner from a set piece. You are clearly going to stutter past the finish line like in 2014-15 rather than seal the title spectacularly like Ancelotti did with his large wins to close the season.

I've seen you post a few times and assumed you liked elaborate wind ups,but i genuinely cant believe that you believe what you post. You sound like someone whos only very recently gotten in to football. I mean the comments on chelsea's style of play the critisicm of them not creating chances, being niggly etc. These are all hallmarks of the brand of football they've produced by and large for the past 12 or so years. Its not always pretty but its effective.
To chastisise them for that seems a bit misguided, and to insinuate they should have had an easier time of it shows a lack of understanding of the principles that have embodied them for nigh on a decade of success. Its not United Circa 06-08 or how we and Arsenal play, but I wouldnt have minded if we learned how to really win like that much like the Ferguson 1-0 sides.

Well considering that many people here think Kante deserves to win the POTY award, he certainly wasn't POTY material today (and overall). A POTY needs to be able to change games and be the difference maker. Repeatedly and consistently.
Chelsea were underwhelming today and got more than they deserved. The way that Stoke defended and stifled them, they deserved a point.
Without Hazard, Chelsea lack the ability to penetrate and break down parked bus defences.
The POTY award contenders should be Hazard, Kane and Zlatan.
