Premier League - Gameweek 16

Hahahaha city we’re letting the game lull to be fair, serves them right.
We were never in control of it in the first place. I was baffled listening to Neville and co. United created all the chances (few and all as they were) while we offerend absolutely nothing. They also could have had a peno first half. I've seen them given.

Poor Nunes about to be loaned out to the belgian third division for this act of treason

City not even in the top four now.

They have proper Chelsea 15/16 vibes about them.

Went 1-0 up but instead of relaxing could barely string 3-4 passes together and were just hoofing it in the general direction of Haaland.

Mentally they're done for this season already.

And there were people on the caf discussing whether a win for us against City helps Liverpool's title chances.

With us and Arsenal drawing yesterday, City of old would win and close the gap. They looked fairly toothless today though.

Villa away next.

I mean that Chelsea team was horrible from the first game (I think the one where they played Swansea and Mourinho got into it with the female physio?). This isn’t that bad but this run is as bad as I can remember from a reigning champion.

One win in 11? Yikes.

They were lucky to win some of the games earlier in the season, just Haaland started in blistering form.

I think the best guide was Fulham at home. Won that 3-2 but Fulham missed a hatful of chances. That was the warning game and a few teams like Bournemouth and Brighton noted the way to hurt them is be direct and play quick balls over the top.

Still they probably win that 1-0 but for a terrible back pass from someone out of position as Man. United lacked so much quality in final third until that gift.

Agreed, Neville's comments were bizarre.

Feel Nunes has done alright at LB given its not his position. Helped by Amad being offside so much but shocking quality overall.
Amad will totally stay onside and a Nunes mistake will see him equalise now cause I said it.
Haha how I wish you didn't post that :)

We are utterly shocking at the moment, I seriously have to wonder how low this rot can take us.

We won't be at seasons end either, too many issues this year for Pep to magically get it right over night. The most pressing is the quality of the players which realistically won't change due to age and injuries taking their toll. I doubt we will continue being this horrific, but there surely has to be at least 5 teams capable of taking more points than us now

Well charges aside worst case is the Championship and we've been lower.
I'm not joking when I say we're playing like a bottom 6 club right now.

Villa away next, wil be a loss. Then Everton home and Leicester away. So hopefully 4-6 points but on our current form 1-3.

We were the only team that did anything consistently in the final third, especially in the second half. Also denied a stonewall penalty earlier.

Watched the game on another station today as I just knew Gary Neville would be talking his usual nonsense. What is wrong with that fella, trying too hard to please non United viewers or clueless to what he's watching?

Form over the last 2 months is definitely relegation form, but surely we have to be a bit hysterical to consider that as an option? Those thoughts are never far away for a City fan though.

A midfielder with energy will do us the world of good in january. We collapsed at the end today, largely thanks to one player in particular and then a long ball which is typical that the opposition makes the most out of in our current predicament but I thougt we looked a lot better with Kovacic back. If we can find someone good enough to both give us energy and quality in the middle in january I think we look a different team very quickly. Probably not as good as we wish to be, but at least ending the season relatively comfortably.

We are so used to having the best midfield in the world, it is pretty absurd seeing the current iteration of De Bruyne and Gundogan along with usually Rico Lewis trying to run a midfield together at the moment. Some issues are hard to identify, some are not.

Here's me thinking Man City are shit.... Southampton are showing us what genuine shite at this level is at the moment

Spurs running riot here. Just in time for our game there on Thursday.

Haha Southampton are proper shit, wow... 3-0 down already.

Weird defensive setup from Chelsea on a free kick taken by Flekken from deep just then. All 10 Chelsea players forming a single defensive line stretched out across the pitch halfway inside their own half.

The quality at display from both teams in the Manchester derby was absolutely "genuine shite"

5 points from 16 games for Southampton. Not much better than Derby’s 07/08 average. Dogshit.

Hope we get more goals in this game. Don't give a shit about either team. When one team goes 3-0 up quickly, I want to see a thrashing. Hope Southampton lose by 10 goals now.

What is that Brentford player doing to Cuccarella, and why isn't that a pen?

Tbf if there's one team to keep on attacking it's probably Spurs
