Still think a yellow card to those who do that would solve that problem. He would have been penalized if he scored on the rebound.

It was a foul as the defender stood on his foot. Nothing soft about it, he just committed a foul and was rightly penalised for itThe sending off was fair, Jota would have scored if not for Ederson's foul.
The penalty was very very soft, I'd be fuming if it got given against us
The retake, I don't know, Bernardo was the player furthest forward, but there was a Wolves player in the box also
Overall City are incredibly lucky to be ahead here.

Yeah if this was the start still, Atkinson's decision would have stood. They've made a mockery of the league this season, as matches would have different results if Var was allowed to intervene the way it does now. We wouldn't have lost to Palace at the start for one.It looks like they are loosening the restrictions on overturning on field decisions in the Premier League, at last. Been a fair few big decisions in recent weeks that VAR would have totally ignored at the start of the season to protect the on field ref.
The VAR referee is David Coote, who was VAR ref for our game against Norwich
Wolves forget they are 1 man up. Not playing well - good.
If that was Liverpool people would be going mad.
No, he just misses the game on Sunday. Apt username thoughEderson misses the first leg of the league cup semi final now?
Maybe we should get someone sent off against them? They sit in and counter as a game plan, this is unnatural for them.
I'm a Liverpool fan and I can't stand listening to him eitherSomebody kill Jim Beglin please.

You do realise you can have no commentary through Amazon?Somebody kill Jim Beglin please.
the problem is this behavior is incentivized by the refs. If he had not gone down there and tried to recover the ball, the penalty wouldn't have been given either by the ref or VAR. We've seen this for many years now.Weak penalty decision, Mahrez went down like he was shot - he stepped on him but the contact was so exaggerated
Weak penalty by Sterling, weak by the ref asking for a retake, weak retake - hope Wolves turn them over.
This! Blame the refs, not the players.the problem is this behavior is incentivized by the refs. If he had not gone down there and tried to recover the ball, the penalty wouldn't have been given either by the red or VAR. We've seen this for many years now.
But then you have to listen to Wolves and Man City fansYou do realise you can have no commentary through Amazon?

Insufferable prick.... not you, BeglinI'm a Liverpool fan and I can't stand listening to him either
So there was actual contact, even if it was ‘soft’, and there was Wolves players in the box during the penalty...
Both correct decisions then.
