Premier League 25/1/25 - 26/1/25

Liverpool are going to be a problem aren't they for a few years. They'll only strengthen in the summer and they appear to have got their mojo back
We expected them to do that when they won the covid title, but now they have a more stable manager then there's every chance they go on a run of title challenges. Depends on what City do I guess.

Again, i really dont like arsenal, but if a referee does that to you, and you dig in and win away from home, you deserve to win. The downside is that an arsenal win will take serious spotlight off Oliver who at this point needs a spell out of the game. Its become a farce

Great day for us, most of our relegation rivals are losing. Just need brighton to score against Everton

I’m a bit concerned. No idea what kind of City I should expect today.
One that can't run. If theres one thing you guys have its energy. Caicedo will run us ragged and we won't get close to Enzo.

The video shows his heel with studs up making contact near the outside ball of his ankle near enough to the achilles but is subjective from the angle they give us. Ref was on on the side and had a better view .

There's no pace or force involved, and considering the studs up challenges Oliver has allowed where we're talking actual tackles where they plant studs high up on the standing foot, it's fairly bizarre that this one suddenly qualifies as a red.

Interesting to see how Khusanov does. Big test for him in his first game.

Coming up against the mighty Jadon Sancho.
He'll be in the centre with Nunes on Sancho. Likely he'll be helping Dads Army in front of him try and handle Palmer.

I didn't see the first booking, but the second one was closer to a red than the one Arsenal got. Absolutely nothing wrong with that decision
The sky commentators going on and on it should've been a straight red til var said no it was attempt for the ball that caught his foot. Commentators then u-turned, agreeing. Most odd.

Ah they looked to give a red card for that? Would've been harsh, but a text book yellow card

I like Bournemouth more than Forrest and I’ve enjoyed them more this season. Not surprised they are battering them right now.

Proper football team the cherries.

The second yellow was borderline straight red on its own. Stupid tackle.

They're still crying about the Arse red. Fairly partisan commentators always loving the bigger team.

They’re such a lovely team to root for as a neutral.
