Premier League 14/1/25 - 20/1/25

After the way Arsenal cheated against us on Sunday I’d rather they didn’t win the league. I’d prefer Chelsea at this point to get some form back and go on a winning run.
I'd pretty much prefer anyone over Arsenal.

As unlikely as it is - this is the year for a Leicester type story. Arsenal and City faultering, Liverpool look to have hit a wall too.

Really hope Brentford hold on. Or nick it. A season without city in the CL would be fun to watch and will be a test to see how many players want to jump ship in the summer
Hopefully they are found guilty, and the league gets several seasons in a row without City at all.

I don’t want to say this is the start of some great downfall or anything, but a lot of people earlier in the season spotted that Liverpool weren’t all that good, just clinical. Which can’t last forever.
Sooner or later teams would find out how to play against Slot's Liverpool.

The other thing is the title race hasn't even started so we don't know how'd they cope with a tough run-in.

Liverpool are too far ahead to lose the title now. There's no team in this league capable of going on a big run to over take them.

Slot counting the seconds Forest take to take a goal kick to the 4th official. Small time Pep Guardiola is my idol starting to emerge.

Being booked for whinging for a yellow is one of the best things that can happen in football match.

That rawk meltdown thread will give us material for decades if that happens.

I'm thinking he's trying to jinx it.
You're trying very hard to jinx this
Not really. I hate both Arsenal and Liverpool so can't really be arsed who wins ultimately but I said this before the match as well that I just don't see Liverpool winning today and that they have been wobbling a bit. Whether anyone else takes advantage or not is a completely different topic.

Salah really can disappear in games like this. Never looks up for the physical battle.

Story of our slump this. Dominated, failed to put it to bed and get punished with one chance.

Brooks was lucky there, definition of an orange card

I think they've been extremely reliant on Salah. And Salah has been a bit cack last few games.

Liverpool looked weirdly desperate from the first minute, shooting from everywhere.

Nine shots, zero on target.

If the current score holds, it's 6 points with 18 matches left, including Liverpool vs Arsenal. Saying it's over already is absolutely ridiculous.

It's just people trying to jinx the other way. If you look at this title race objectively, with how poor all the top teams have been, pretty much anyone can win this title.

I think people think this not because Liverpool won't drop more than enough points to be caught, but because no one below is capable of capitalising on the dropped points.
