PL D FA Premier League

Manchester United 1:1 West Ham United

Post-match discussion

Carrick would have allowed Pogba to play further forward like thursday night.

Carrick definately would have made a difference. He just moves the ball forwards so well for us and provides a shield at the back so that Pogba and Herrera can attack more freely.

But but but.... we're unlucky.

But but but... we're playing really well.

But but but... we're due to give someone a good hiding.

But but but... the results will come.

Here's hoping those of you who were waxing lyrical about our performance post-Arsenal have just been given a reality check.

We are a truly abject attacking outfit.

United were.

United played well again.

United just walked through Feyenoord.

They will.

I reckon Martial up front instead of Ibrahimovic would make us a completely different team. Mkhitaryan and Mata on either side and we'll actually have some playmakers in a dangerous part of the pitch. Lingard and Rashford don't have that guile, and Zlatan is too slow to stretch the play to be effective at it.

Just sick of those "we were unlucky" excuses. You ain't unlucky if you pick Lingard as a starter and you're not unlucky when that same Lingard makes completely idiotic faul in first minute of the game in a dangerous area. You're not unlucky when 35 year old striker can't follow his man and we concede from that same set piece.

You're not unlucky when you're chasing the result and you bring Fellaini on whilst Martial is watching the game from the stands. No, we weren't unlucky and Mourinho needs to take some responsibility for mind-boggling team selection and his constant sending off. Zlatan scored today but again he missed a sitter, actually he took forever to shot and he got blocked.

That awful first touch after Collins mistake is just astonishing. Rashford instead of going past the keeper he made the wrong choice to shot like he did. Unlucky was that post from Mickey Taryan. If anything we were lucky because of the fact that the ref didn't give West Ham a penalty for that hand ball from Rojo.

Mata and Lingard were incredibly bad today, Rojo was also making mistakes. Only Pogba, Valencia, Jones and Herrera looked invested. Jones "God bless him) is playing really good, he won every single aerial duel, Smalling should be worried for his spot.

Overall anything disapointing result at home and I'm fekin sick of "unlucky" excuses.

I wish actual physical pain to anyone who mentions luck.

It is totally understandable that we lost a bit of steam, in the second half, following the EL game on thursday. However we should've put them away in the first half. We were again let down by our finishing. I realise that Ibra scored today, but for all the talk about how he is a winner he is not doing much of it.

The fact that we conceded in the 2nd minute is actually offensive. To be in a position where we are, and to start the game so lacklusterly is inexcusable. It just shows the mental strength of this team. I get that we're improving in our performances and we even managed to play some silky football at times, but I'd rather see some tiny indication that this squad is able to grind some games out. And I just don't see it.

Played well yet Randolph was brilliant. We just arent converting chances.

First half "ok", second half average at best..... performance and table reflect where we are as a club/team at the moment.

Pogba better (he might not be £90m but he isn't as bad as so many posters say he is), Zlatan scores but the haters will work out some goal ratio stat to hammer him.... or say his work ethic isn't good enough.

Ref fecking awful.... no common sense, desperate to card people for minor things and should have booked their goalie in about the tenth minute for time wasting, which would have saved 5-10 minutes of wasted match.

Tough at the minute but been much worse (as much fun as the cup runs were, the 70's were grim) and nothing will stop me turning up/tuning in next match.... all those saying "that's me done", "wake me up in 2017", go support another club/sport then.

Pogba and Fellaini will miss Wednesday's Cup game. So it could be Herrera and Carrick/Morgan/ Basti

Frustrating as feck result again. Good performance though, the consistency will come in the league. We aren't getting top 4 because we've already had too many frustrating dropped points, but we are easily the best side in the Europa League, no matter who drops down, so can still get Champions League football next year.

Pogba was class, though he gets wound up too easily. Ibra was really good again, though again, could've scored more. Mkhitaryan was class when he got subbed on, feck knows why he isn't starting because he is on a different planet as a footballer compared to rashford or lingard. Don't give me the shit that he isn't ready for the premier league or he isn't trying hard enough, that's bollocks. He's a potentially world class player and showed it last season in a team that works way harder on and off the ball then what we do.

Lingard at least did well I thought, but Rashford was fecking terrible today, and he has been for a while. He should stay out of the team for a while, he's young and all, take him out of the lime light. And never, ever, ever play him on the left wing because he is just terrible there.

Rooney again did well when subbed on. Valencia again a tank, same with Jones. Rojo mostly good, a few shaky moments. Darmian a bit meh. Mata and Herrera instrumental in our play as always, though it was weird to sub off Mata. That's standard Mou though.

Also not blaming Moss for the result, but he was a joke today. So many bad calls throughout. A joke he sent off Mourinho. Ah well. We'll batter West Ham mid week in the cup. Shame Pogba is out for it.

We need better players in the final third it is as simple as that. Tactically going forward we are fine, way we are set up is fine but we miss 2 quality wide men and a striker at his peak.

We have some real problems going on. Shaw and Martial don't seem to be able to play a couple of games back to back, at least not well, and that should be our left hand side.

Carrick is needed for maximum balance In the centre, but we can't use him too often.

Miki thank goodness has just started firing, as that was becoming a right saga.

How to fit Rooney in. How to fit Mata in.

How to get people scoring the tonnes of chances we're wasting!

Garhrhh..

steps away from laptop.

The rush to absolve Mourinho of all blame is increasingly odd. It's his team and our results are quite honestly pathetic.

i don't care about that first half or the chances we made, that second half was beyond pathetic, only Pogba, Herrera and Jones looked like they actually wanted to win the game, the rest of them were utter garbage, no urgency, no desire, no nothing, I'm sat there thinking "what a bunch of fecking losers we have playing for us".

So its his fault that our players keeps shiting their pants when they are in a good position to score?? Zlatan, Rashford and Lingard aren't good enough to start for team like United..
 Wait, if those three aren't good enough then why is he not to blame given he spent 150 million in the summer?

Disjointed without Carrick, either 3 games in a row is too much and/or he is being rested for Wednesday, which is a pretty big game it would be useful to win for the purposes of morale/outlook, and gets us to a semi final.

Top 4 is gone barring Utd having a string of wins & better teams losing form altogether.

I don't know what our attacking method is, either give it Mata or lump it towards Zlatan - who will have 3-4 good touches a game but overall needs to feck off asap, that this won't be for 2 years tells us what the other options are looking like atm - Rooney, Lingard Rashford looking raw on a learning curve in his 2nd season - and playing out of position.

Mourinho has got a big job on. We need to be patient,.

Then don't pick them. Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Martial are waiting in the wings either on the bench or in the stands. And don't lose the plot on the sideline, particularly when you know this ref has sent you to the stands in the past. This should have been such a routine victory.

What are you on about Carrick would make no difference to our finishing. Everything up until the scoring is fine. You can't blame mourinho when the team is missing basic open goals.

That is true

But it is game after game after game that we are dropping points and when it becomes this symptomatic, I'am always looking at the coach.

But on the other hand I can't give a clear solution on what the club should do about this. Sacking him will be no solution. I don't know anymore, football has become so depressing as a United supporter. Maybay we can hope for a EL win and build from that as a team because I'am all out of ideas. If you can't win even when you are playing well and get this many chances, I just don't know anymore.

What else can he do other than smash the fecking ball in the back of the net himself?

These cnuts just switch off at the beginning of the match. Then completely bottle in front of goal for the 4th premier league match running.

When will people stop blaming the manager and start seeing that its these bunch of shitcnuts masquerading as Manchester United players that are not good enough? 4 years isnt obvious enough for you?

Don't even want to look at the table any more. This is like groundhog day over and over again. We're doing almost enough to win matches but still have nobody to blame but ourselves.

Pure frustration in the league right now. We're blowing this season.

We lacked urgency and simply did not create many clear cut chances. This had nothing to do with bad luck. Jose still does not know his best team and still hasn't found a system to get the best out of a group of players which on paper should be challenging for the title.

Terrible luck, terrible referees, keeper having the game of his life, but good signs that we will put it all together soon and we will be a real force once things go our way.

Things that every slightly above average team thinks.

It's time we start playing our quality players as first choice more often. Playing them into form and getting an established first team lineup is how we'll really get back up there.

6 goals in 7 league games and 2 wins in 10. How people still believe we will get top four is beyond me. Entertainment wise we are hugely improved but what a Fecking struggle this season has been and I see it continuing. Hopefully we take our Old Trafford cup form into Wednesday and smash these cnuts as I dread the next league game and what frustrations that will no doubt bring.

Don't think we can even do anything do fix this at the moment. Strap in folks, going to be a rough one.

Good football game from us. I was entertained again so not many things to complain about. Except one thing. The donkey coming on in the last few minutes. He would not have got in our first 11 in 89 ffs. GET RID FFS

I think we have improved a lot since the Stoke game.
Of course we have. Now let's have a look at how many points we've picked up...er....

We're 6th and 4 points behind Spurs who are a level ahead of us right now.

Agreed. Getting rid of RvP, Hernandez, and Nani the same summer was insanity.

This club spent almost 160 million pounds this summer. Regardless of the player decisions that were made 2 years ago, they had ample resources to devote to restocking the striking department. They consciously chose to go with a 35 year old who they're running into the ground (he's started like 15 games and it's not even December).

Not good enough, buck stops with Mourinho now, cannot blame anybody else.

This season is a write-off. The best we can hope for is that Mourinho corrects his mistakes to some extent in the January window, otherwise it is back to the drawing board for him at the end of the season.

I still think he should be given time even if we don't make the Champions League, however this season is done, not because United won't improve but the teams above United are too good to slip up much.

One of those days
It's one of those days
We're Man United
It's one of those days

:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks for the laugh!
