Andy Carrol available?
Seriously though we are creating chances. We need someone that has that knack of finding the net. Zlatan is great but we need a clinical goal threat. If a Romario was available right now I'd break the bank.

A van Nistelroy.

people should get over blaming West Brom.
We were clueless.
Even with Zlatan,Herrera and Pogba not available we should be able to beat teams like this.
Some of these players are simply not good enough.
It looks like the Europa Cup is the route to the CL.

You expect Carrick and fellani to be mobile? It's our attackers who need to be more mobile
That's what you read? Our attackers didn't need to be more mobile, all of them are mobile players. The midfielders aren't. It's the managers squad. What is confusing?

West Brom weren't to blame, we knew exactly what they would do. Rashford is quick, but I hope with experience he will get a brain. I have said elsewhere that Martial is too timid. You have to impose yourself on teams when they set up like this. We missed a focal point to keep their CB's busy.

I've seen dozens of posters in the last few months diss Ibrahimovic.

Truth is we're really poor without him. He's critical this season, and hopefully we have a plan that makes him only "important" next season.

You're talking like this is our first draw at home vs. shite team, and Bournemouth wasn't that long ago. Remind me again how many Ibra scored in that game?
The previous match we scored three, did he play?

No, he offers more class and vision and that's at least something. Given he got rid of Schweinstieger and Schneiderlin, and put all his eggs in the Pogba basket, he has himself to blame for the immobile midfield we have today which offered zero quality in attack and supporting our inexperienced attack.
Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin were absolute shite in a Utd shirt. Getting rid of them was the right thing to do.

Our attack is turd so it doesn't matter

It's not though, the players out there would have won easily if West Brom had come to play. I'd be surprised if Everton park the bus like Pulis' teams can.

With West Brom having so many men behind the ball, it makes it harder to find a way past. The reason why we excel away from home is because the other team attacks and leaves space.

But you would expect that with all the domination and possession we would score one which would change the dynamic of the game. Its a bit like thrown a dart at the dart board trying to hit the bulls eye. You throw it ten times and might hit it once. But we are not finishing the chances we do get.

Frustrating but i think if we buy a couple of players and start afresh next season we will be much better. We just need a little more confidence in front of the goal.

we don't play intelligently enough in the final third. We don't have players moving to create space for others to move into...it's all very ponderous and easy for defences to deal with...I saw it today. It feels like everyone is expecting someone else to do something without there being any specific idea of what to do.

It's our 8th home draw in 15 games. It's been proven beyond reasonable doubt that our attack is turd.

There's that Neymar rumor that I hope it has some truth. That's another player that's worth that kind of money.

If Neymar was ever to come to the Premiership, which I doubt, right now he wouldn't be choosing Utd.

Yeah...we actually have just one real striker.............none of the others fill that role with the same strength, aggression and experience as Ibra at the moment. Without him, regardless of the chances he might miss, we really really missed him today.

I agree. Its breaking down teams that come for a draw where we suffer.

Now i would have preferred to see the full backs overlapping, but Jose will say that we could get hit in the counter.

Has it? Is that not partly to do with how the team is set up? Look at City, man for man their defence is absolute shit but as a unit they're capable of playing well together (occasionally). Our attack has too often been the opposite.

Jose's united are terrible in attack. Just terrible. I sometimes wonder if going for a conservative manager when our biggest issue was in attack, made sense.
I've maintained from the start that Pep and José chose the wrong side of Manchester. Both would be title contenders if they swapped clubs.

Yes it probably was. But the manager didn't replace them. He spent 90 million pounds on Pogba who has been average. So yeah, sorry but Jose has to deal with the squad he chosen and take responsibility. Tough luck.

You would have to think City would be strong favourites.
Why are they strong favourites over United?

Here's a quote from the man himself from last week

“The Premier League is a championship that amazes me,” said the big tease.

“I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes. I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool – these are the teams that are always there fighting.

“And then you have high-level coaches like [Jose] Mourinho and [Pep] Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”

Because City will be playing in the Champions League next season and its 50/50 if Utd will for a start, they can pay the same wages Utd could, they have Pep as manager, etc., etc. Chelsea could be in for a shout for him also and yes so would Utd but honestly why would he pick Utd over City or Chelsea at the moment? I'm honestly not having a go at Utd here I just can't see it.

simply put. We lack quality in depth.

A top team with a slow 35 year old striker (as good as he is) as the only player capable of scoring is hardly going to work, is it? We need Martial to find his feet again, we need a right winger of the highest calbier as Mata/Lingard are never going to be the right option there. Miki was dreadful today and what are we gonna do if Zlatan leaves? I think we need both Grizeman and Lukaku plus the right winger. Then we need a replacement for Carrick and that needs to be a really good midfielder. If Shaw is not going to buckle up then left back needs to be sorted. We are just sadly lacking in quality in way to many positions.

Utd's main problem as it has been all season is a lack of goals. Zlatan is not the problem, it's the lack of other players you can rely on to score you 10-15 league goals a season. You do not have many right now.

Why does having Pep as manager make them huge favourites when we have Mourinho? Those were the two names he named. Plus talking about who's going to be in the CL next season right now is premature. I think we will get in through the Europa League and rate our chances of winning that higher than 50/50. He didn't even mention City when talking about clubs he admires. I guess you don't think United are a bigger club than City either if you cant think of any reasons he would pick us.

Edit - I don't even know why I'm discussing this as its never going to happen anyway. Damn spurs fans

Well put. Unfortunately Martial seems to be having a confidence crisis, we should not be relying on Rashford yet and Rooney is impotent.

It was difficult not to though. You needed Carrick's ability on the ball, and you couldn't turn up v a Pulis team with our tall players out and not field Fellaini.

Unless we're talking having him closer up front!

I understand why we started the game in this formation. But Wazza could've come in for, say, Fellaini when it became obvious that we can't score from a header and Carrick was capable of successfully protecting defence from their impotent counter-attacks.
Instead of this we continued playing in the same manner for the whole game

correct...we didn't change anything for the whole game. We played the same way.

Well no, it's tough luck for you. Because Jose isn't going anywhere thankfully.

You will have to learn to be patient.

It only came up because somebody else mentioned signing Neymar - I agree it aint going to happen.
