EL W Europa League Match Day 6

Viktoria Plzen 1:2 Manchester United

Post-match discussion

Our first 11 becoming more and more obvious.

Is it really? The issue with these players is their lack of consistency. While the substitutes may have looked sharp today, these are the same players who have started in previous matches and failed to deliver at the same level. It’s a recurring problem.

Massive win. Pleased we turned it around just for Amorim as he's been left with a shitshow. Made the subs too.

He'll start to be learning which players are and aren't up to it now. Zirkzee and Rashford are woeful and Dalot and Malacia aren't good enough to be wing backs in this system.

We were mental once we took the lead:lol:.Just keep the ball for feck sake.Hilarious.

Get in there.

Good come back and lovely goals.

That being said having those 3 counter attacks at the end and not scoring one, Christ Almighty

Take the 3 points and move on. Why did we only start playing at 0-1?
Impactful substitutions which was good to see.

So difficult to read into come of these Europa ties, some awful opposition in truth and it’s worryingly always a close game. We won away, which is a huge plus.

Our players are operating with old intel pentium processors for brains and it shows. Slow, sluggish, immobile and mentally broken.

Walking pace first half which put everyone to sleep including freakin Onana. Not sure why it takes being down to play with any sort of urgency, don't get it at all.

That last 5 minutes, not a single player with any kind of composure, not to maintain possession and not to kill the game off. As out of form City are right now, not going to be pretty on the weekend.

How can they repeatedly not score when 3 on 1?
Relieved to come away with 3 points after all that.

Happy to get the win.

Much better second half obviously, but first half was ponderous.

WTF is wrong with Rashford? Is it just attitude problems or personal problems? Really disappointing tonight.

They're not alone but Rashford and Zirkzee must be at the front of the queue to try and push out come January.

Different team when we got those absolute wasters Rashford and Zirkzee off

And Casemiro. There are games where he just doesn't have the legs. Those 3 and Shaw should be shipped out as soon as January if possible to raise funds.

Mazraoui is a f*ck brilliant player, if Ashworth was responsible for getting him for €15m he deserves a statue despite his brief time here.

I love this club but that last 5 minutes has taken 10 years off my life, it should be illegal to feck up so many counters. At the very least you can excuse their age there but my God, thought I was gonna burst a blood vessel.

Thin ice? I think he has fallen through.
Can't even put in a decent performance to inflate his selling price. Commentators said we have potential PSR issues, so he needs to think about how he can contribute to improving that.

Rasmus MotM, brace off the bench. Rashford shit, others poor.

Neither Rashford nor Zirkzee should play another minute in a united shirt, as unready as they are Obi and Collyer/ Gore would be a massive upgrade

We have to find a way to get Mount in the team,he has so much energy.Poor fecker will never score either, the God's are against him.

At least Amorim is seeing now just how useless Rashford and Casemiro are. Hopefully they are both permanently relegated to the bench. Much needed win.

I mean was it lucky really?

Utd were the better team second half, but in the end yeah it was a bit of lucky win. A lucky bounce for the first goal and a dodgy enough free kick for the second. Other than that they screwed up nearly every other attack with brain dead passing and decision making.

Ball possession and beating the opposition press is now much better. Decision making in attack is still a problem

For all his faults Bruno is still the most creative player in our team

Amad played very well but takes too many touches in the box

Rasmus is getting better, brilliant goal for the winner

All players that the club are ready to sell are totally lost their minds to play football especially on the first half. Also Ohnana was too slow to build the game. I couldn’t imagine Man City would trash this team.

Poor tugid first half, shocking goal conceded in 2nd half (another poor start to a 2nd half), Amorim made the changes and we turned it around. Some of the game management near the end was a shambles. There are positive signs, but feck it's going to be a bumpy ride. Mazraoui being his standard self (player of the season imo), I thought De Ligt did well. What didn't Ten Hag see in Diallo!?!? Mount could thrive under this system. Pleased for Hojlund, smart 2nd goal.

a cold Thursday night game on a dodgy pitch. Yeah take the 3 points and move on

Big win away from home in Europe. We made it hard work and weren’t particularly very good for long periods but Amorims subs made a big difference. Amad was great while Hojlund and Mount made a big impact when they came on. Rashford and Zirkzee were abysmal, will struggle to find a buyer for either of them if they stink out the place like that.

A win is a win but still not good.
Amad is the only bright spot. Hojlund scored twice but missed a sitter and should’ve done a lot better with the 3 on 1 at the end. Even take it to the corner to see the game out.
Mount improved things when he came on but still fluffed his lines twice in front of goal.
Definitely more negatives than positives. I haven’t mentioned Dalot, Onana, Zirkzee, Garnacho, Antony or Rashford.

Are we in the top 8 now?
Yes, 5th, looking at the league table, Ajax, Anderlecht, Lyon, Rangers and Spurs can leapfrog us. Hopefully Rangers - Spurs game ends in a draw. Ajax - Lacio and Lyon - Frankfurt as well. (Not asking for much, am I?)
Anderlecht will probably win Slavia P.
So 6th.. :smirk:

I’m not sure you know what lucky means.
