Weren't Pilzen incredibly lucky to be gifted a goal completely out of the blue from an Onana brainfart? Clearly not given you say we both 'deserved to win' and yet were 'quite lucky to come out with a 2-1 win'.

No we didn't play well for the entire first half. Too slow and lethargic but we were more than good value for the win.

You can both deserve to win and still score goals that are quite fortunate.

Despite dreadful first half, we didn't look troubled other than when Onana decided to be Taibi... and deserved to win. Nice to see a manager making changes that a) come before the 80th minute and b) change things.

De Light, Maz, Amad and Rasmus all had good games and quite frankly I don't give a monkey's how Hojilund scores. Some people still serious question Ruud for rarely scoring outside the penalty area. He was in the right place at the right time for first and second was a top-class finish

All change again from Ruben, he is certainly trying things (and players out), which is what he has to do.
We made it heavy going in the first half, but were never in real trouble until Onana decided to play 'Russian Roulette' passing out from the back.
Eventually we got the right balance on the pitch and Rasmus did the necessary.
What is Ruben going to do with Rashford, he's a complete lost soul out there, his positioning , his touch, his pace, his whole attitude suggest he would rather be anywhere else but on the pitch?
Marcus definitely needs a sabbatical, needs to be told to sod off until end of January and don't come back until at least you can play with a smile on your face.... wont happen of course, but something needs to be done the lad is in hell on the pitch at the moment, and we are all watching him squirm.

Difficult pitch cold night, but got through it, better side full 90, they came out fair play at the end to try get a Draw. Changes were very good Rasmus, Antony, Ugarte, Mount, all had impact. Amorin is still trying to get what he wants .

Mount and Anthony should start the next game. They aren't the favourites of many but they technically able and can link up with the likes of Amad and Hojlund.

I just can't help but feel that Antony is suited well to play the winger role in this system which would free Amad up to be higher where he needs to be.

I don’t think a boxer who needs to throw 100 punches to land 1 punch is a very good boxer. He just wastes energy, tires himself out and lacks discipline.

Didn't think Zirkzee was as bad as all the queens are going on about. Had his moments of decent play, but yes, in general he was pants. Think he deserves a year though to see if he can break in somewhere to Amorim´s team.

As for Rashford, please get rid of this guy. The day he leaves there will be massive pressure taken off this side. A sacred cow that is such crap is not good for anyone. Total black cloud over us.

Well it would have been a second yellow. I'd agree it would have been harsh. But in the context of the game, he was kind of getting niggly the couple of minutes before that, and was already on a yellow. So, when he dived in like he did, it was stupid because he's giving the referee a decision to make. Another ref on another night might have given him a card for it.

Of these I'd think wingbacks who are specialists would go a long ways towards getting this system firing. Still need a CF understudy (not Zirkzee). Mount is the AM, but between Mount, Ugarte, and Mainoo there should be some semblance of a midfield partnership.

Yeah, it looks like we're still missing puzzle pieces, after an astonishing rebuild under Ten Hag by bringing in 12 players: Martinez, Onana, DeLigt, Mazraoui, Malacia, Mount, Zirkzee, Højlund, Casemiro, Antony, Ugarte, Yoro (is that all of them?). Bringing Amad and Mainoo into the first team should have solved some of our problems but maybe the Amorim system requires specialists we don't have.

Dalot and Malacia as wingbacks wasn't a disaster but it also wasn't impressive. Højlund still seems like our only player who can turn in a CF performance.

After spending millions to fire Ten Hag, millions to get Ashworth then millions more to release Ashworth, and half our squad being new, I don't see how we're getting any new players without doing some amazing sales.

Son’s contract is also coming to an end… he’ll improve our firepower up top. Angel Gomes is another one that could become a free agent. There’s a decent crop of players whose contracts are expiring next summer.

I don’t like two similar tens. My preference for city would be Mount and Amad, Mazraoui as RWB. But I think realistically Bruno / Amad…
