Disasterclass in defence and goal from both teams. We played alright at times though and we didn't deserve to lose, even though we inexplicably lost our way at the start of the second half.

Fun match, lots of mistakes from both sides. I think we played quite well but the mistakes from Martinez and Altay killed us. We need to cut that out.

Not too fussed by the result, would have been great to win but at least we are looking like a somewhat competent side in some phases of the games.

This match had everything, except competent defending.

Feels extra gutting after the spursy mid half collapse and that late goal for the last drop of hope.

Oh well, let's just win Europa then.

Feck me.

On the bright side:

We look like a team with a system

The pressing is great

The football is fantastic to watch and we actually make off the ball runs now!

Amad is a superstar

Amorim is great

Giving up shocking goals, but I think we outplayed them in general play.

Think that's the last time we'll see Onana on the bench.

Utterly bizarre game. We look promising, but we've so much deadwood left in this squad.

I'd shave my head for a proper goalkeeper. Have we considered begging DDG to come back for a season, on loan?

How good is it to at least see the fight again?
Bar 5 minutes at the start of the second half we hammered them.
Zirkzee has to break his nose to give Maz an option for the ball across the keeper

Annoying, fun, stupid, erratic, mad game. That poor start to the 2nd half was so costly. Gifted Spurs that, they're not beating any of the other 3 semi finalists

Poxy Spurs bastards,, hardly in the game all the way through. Shit mistakes aside, that was good performance from us away from home, good signs this early into Rubens reign.

It’s clearly a foul on the keeper with the hands being stopped from going up. No way that should have stood but poor refereeing there. Any other team and that’s a foul. What about protecting the keeper!!

Our fans and manager however will not make a hue and cry about it. Should have won that game if Licha wasn’t so soft and had such a bad day.

Unfortunately Licha looks like he won’t survive the cull in the summer. I like him but his performances have been horrendous this season

There are so many players that need to be replaced, ETH really fecked it up for Amorim.

But on the bright side, Amorim seem to have gotten the players to play cohesively in his system. Sadly we have low quality reserves and dumb players.

Overall system wise we played good. Individual worst performances ever in Bayindir and very very bad game from Lisandro mean we concede 4. Ah well

Spurs - United
  • Ball possession: 46% - 54%
  • Expected goals (xG): 0.67 - 2.38
  • Total shots: 9 - 20

How the feck did they win this, and by scoring 4 too?

Some good signs, but Lisandro very poor once again in our box and no one benefitted from the change of keeper.

Fortunate to claw back thanks to Forster all things considered.

We need a lot of new CBs, without De Ligt (or Maguire) we look so weak back there.

Yoro isn't ready yet and Martinez passing isn't enough to carry how bad he is defensively.

Still should have won if we hade started a bit more offensively, 3 cbs and 2 fullbacks wasn't necessary.

Absolute comedy goals, every single one. Bayindir will hopefully not be playing again, terrible.

Thought we were the much better team in terms of actually playing football which was quite nice to see. Sadly this was soured by the lack of quality in the critical moments in both defence and attack.

Some terrible defensive play, some nice keep ball and we scored 3.

You simply can't gift big deficits and think you'll come back though.
But it's a work in progress, see what the next game brings.

What a strange game. When I saw the lineup I thought we'd get outplayed but fair play to the team to dominate most of the game. With a bit of luck we win that game fairly easily I reckon. Frustrating that there was no var for some reason, hard for the ref to spot that but no way var allows that goal.

Feeling hard done by with that loss. Onana plays, we probably win. VAR is used, we probably draw. But we fielded a second string team, so we lost where even our first team is physically outmatched against this Spurs. But I'm satisfied with the effort and the tactics of the team. As long as our recruitment is sound (I know it's a big ask) from now on, we can get there. Amorim has a plan and it looks like it will work.

We played alright there, multiple horrific mistakes aside. This system is miles better, we just need quality players now.

Decent match to watch though, plenty of goals and fight from both teams. I don’t think a two-legged semi would’ve done us any favours so no issues being out of this one.

Really exciting game of football fuelled by some very poor defending/goalkeeping from both sides. It was a decent performance from us, but we let ourselves down with a horror 15min at the start of the 2nd half. We fought back well and should have got the equaliser, I did feel that it was a foul on Bayinder for the fourth, you can see the Spurs player weigh down our goalies arm and hinder him getting to the ball, I would expect if there was VAR then it would be ruled out.

Amorim might welcome a few free weekdays to work with the team. He hasn’t had it since he has taken the job.

Should have won but poor goals by defensive and goalkeeping mistakes cost us. Shame as we were the better team.

great game for neutrals, utd played better especially 2nd half, atleast 3 avoidable goals. that left wing/def can certainly be improved upon overall, no one really making runs behind the defence would be a improvement for strikers

Didn't deserve to lose, entertaining match that we controlled apart from that silly 10 minutes at the start of the second half.Yoro will be a beast, not so sure about Licha as the left sided cb,he knows how to pass the ball but defending!!
