PL D FA Premier League

Manchester United 1:1 Swansea City

Post-match discussion

Sun, 30 April 2017

Correct, we didn't deserve to win and the penalty wasn't even a penalty.
Swansea came to play and unfortunately we didn't.
Swansea love playing us; they wouldn't be in the relegation zone if that had 10 matches a season against us!

Just wanted to sign in and post that Rooney should get lost from our squad. Our captain and one of the most experience my a@#. It doesn't take one to know we should not concede a free-kick in that area. Jose, please drop this guy. I don't see any value in him.

People need to understand players are humans, they gave their all on thurs and are tired. Support is needed for thurs and no negativity.

That might be the case, were it not for the fact that we have Jose Mourinho as manager.

If you think for one second that he is going to end his time at Manchester United without a league triumph or European crown, then you're sorely mistaken. He will stop at nothing.
Hope he sells some of those weak minded average players.

Mr. Wenger might just do what he does best at this rate: get into the top four.

I was telling someone that people seem to have written Arsenal off too quickly. Wenger may not be title winning but there's something about him and top four. Won't be surprised if City also drops points today. Teams struggling for top four slots with Arsenal at this stage of the season, always seem cursed.

I'm glad I don't support them, it must be really hard for Swansea fans to reconcile how they are fighting relegation but the players turn on the effort when they play the big teams.

Just go off the plane. What is he feck is wrong with this club?

Wonder what our excuse is today.

Team sat back and defended all game - no
Ref gave bad decisions against us - def no
Their GK had a world class performance - no

How about we are just a 6th place team in the EPL

People who were bashing Rashford for diving, should see the dive from Sane against Boro in the on going match.

Even if we miss out on CL this season, we'll be better next year. We'll get at least one other CB and I expect we'll be as tough to beat as we have been this season. There's no way we'll draw as many games next season as we have this, it's super frustrating but next year will be better.

Didn't deserve to win anyway but, so annoyed. Losing Bailly and Shaw is the worst part of the result. Don't understand why the feck we didn't just give Tuanzebe a chance.

Whole team had so many loose touches. Sign of tiredness and Mourinho must prioritize Europa over the league - can't afford these tired performance in the second leg.

The cuture of this club is fecked up, end of. Since SAF stepped down, this club doesn't know how to dig down and get the results that count (and I mean really, really count).

I've resigned myself to us being a midtable club for a while now. I see no end to that in sight, regardless of who the manager is. United has been a club whose success has come from strong personalities with strong roots in the club...and we just have to hope that the day comes when we have enough of those to become contenders again. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no faith at all in the 'leaders' of this club (turds like Woodward, Glazers) having the abiiity to set any kind of framework for it. I see the next few seasons just being the same thing over and over, constant player turnover with the same poor results...

Jose will help, but he is only one man and I really don't know how long he'll be here for.

Much too sensible a post for many on here at the moment I fear.

We spent £150 million last summer and are still not any better. This has been going on for 4 years now, what have you seen that makes you think everything will be suddenly better next year?

City losing. Yet we're in no position to take proper advantage.

Welcome to the theatre of draws, home of the unbeaten Man United.

How are we not any better? We haven't lost for months. LVG's sides never looked this resolute in defence. Step 1 is becoming hard to beat, it's about turning draws in to wins now. You have to also consider we're severely injury hit and have played a massive amount of football this season.

Wow that's fear. If there's one thing I gree is that we lack personalities that have a winning mind, but honestly I can see Jose fix this quick.

Some of the people here think that spending £150 to £200 million every year will fix all problems magically, while we have spending millions for 4-5 years and still can't defeat average teams and finish in the top 4.

It's about buying the right players and that will cost a packet.

Absolutely inept performance. Deserved nothing from that game, outplayed by effing Swansea at OT. Shocking.

Two more injuries as well, brilliant. Jose needs to re-evaluate his belief in 'having a small squad'.

So, since SAF retired we've had four seasons, with three different managers, a gigantic expenditure and every one of those four seasons has been a write-off in terms of the league. When, exactly, do we stop considering this to be a 'blip' and start recognising that it's a pattern?

How are we not any better, just look at the table it does not lie. We also had a lot of injuries last season but unlike Jose LVG used it to give youngsters a chance, I mean how many more centre backs have to get injured before Tuanzebe get's a game. And lets not use the amount of matches we play as an excuse as it was never a problem when we were winning league titles and competing in the later stages of the Champions League.

Looking like a massively wasted opportunity, with Boro looking like they will share a point with City.

Feck.

Would give it until halfway through next season before making a judgement. We spent a lot last summer but it still wasn't enough to fix the problems in the squad, we needed another centre half, striker cover and another wide player at least. I genuinely think Jose has got a lot out of the squad at his disposal, all things considered, and most of these injuries are not his fault.
