Here is an idea how about put some trust in kids and let them run wild, they wouldnt be strolling thats 100%,they might not be ready to play for this team whole season but for game or two, they would give their hearts out. Who knows maybe they would surprise some. On top,OT crowd would be more up for it,when they see some kid running around, plus they wouldnt give them sticks if they make mistakes.

Better to lose against City and win today rather than drawing both games. At least you'd have 1 point more in the table.

Not sure how you can compare two players who have mostly been good when they play to the likes of Fabio and Cleverly. I get your point about injuries but in Smalling's case they're way overblown. Won't deny I'm getting a bit tired of Jones missing so many matches but the talent is there with him so I can see why the club haven't given up on him yet.

Fabio and Rafael struggled with the same problem, they were chronically injured. Smalling was too until iirc 1st or 2nd season of LVG when he's had a clean run, especially in the second run. Jones has always been injured. Mind you that both Rafael and Fabio had way, way more in their locker than those two too. Cleverley was just poor.

There's no use of 'talent' if they cannot stay fit, it just doesn't matter, just as Wilshit's talent doesn't matter because he's constantly injured. I'd even argue that both of them, especially Jones, are rather good athletes rather than good defenders. When your main CBs get injured (impact injury from Bailly, ACL from Rojo, the latter you cannot predict/prevent anyhow), you want to rely on your back-ups. Our problem is that our backups are nearly always injured whenever we need them.

OT crowd had two of our academy players today in Rashford and Lingard, how much 'up' was our crowd again?

We have the biggest turnover in football but we somehow manage to buy worse than most do. Look at Bayern and Dortmund for example to see the difference. I think the club is at crossroads in that we have to spend whatever it takes to get back on track in the summer, get in a proven DOF and copy the way clubs like Bayern,Dortmund,A.Madrid and Moncaco are buying their players. One example of how stupid we have been in the transfer market, I remember when we played MK Dons in the cup and a certain mr Dele Alli played against us and it was clear that he was going to be a player but we let that slide.

The league is so competitive. We dont have a monopoly like Bayern do. Also Dortmund have been poor enough this season but because their league lacks any competition they are able to get by.

Secondly I remember that match against MK Dons and Delle Ali did not stand out at all.

Afraid we differ on this Jacko. Many times I've been and friends have said it was quiet when it wasn't; sometimes the opposite. Perhaps depends where you sit?

Away fans (not just at OT but in any stadium) can be massively mixed up or down by TV companies.

I've never once got this impression.

I sit in first tier of the SAF stand (towards Stretford End quadrant).

I go to a game, return home and watch it back - and the atmosphere has translated precisely as expected. Conversely, when I'm not at the game and watch it live on TV, it's painfully obvious when the atmosphere is lacking.

The only time the broadcasters (mainly BT) adjust the sound, is when swearing is clearly audible and so they drown out the crowd for a few seconds.

Which kids would you have played?

Celebrating a draw that keeps them in the relegation zone, in the way they did. Embarrassment to Welsh football.

Not half as embarrassing as our performance against a relegation threatened side at home.
We have no one to blame but ourselves

Exactly, give me an O'Shea over these any day.

If we dont let anyone go we need about three players. If players go we need more than three.

I think we should at least sell Phil Jones. Not because he is bad but because he keeps get injured.

So if Arsenal win their games in hand, we are back in 6th? What a fecking joke we are. We only have ourselves to blame. We're a sack of shit and quite frankly don't deserve to play in the Champions League anyway.

Exactly, why the hell do we want top 4 and champions league football when we cannot beat a relegation side like Swansea at home. We are only asking for more embarrassment

Fellaini was missed today both defensively and offensively could have even played centre back late on.
His sending off was always going to have such an impact in our next two league games after the city match especially on who our opponents were.
For his stupid actions I hope he takes some of the responsibility for our upcoming line ups and results.

ah well.. that's our goose finally cooked, we weren't gonna do it anyway, most likely

stiffing the Arse next week would be good though, or denying LFC Champs Lge footy if we can, I don't mind really

Actually I'am sick and tired off it, United will not get top 4 this season end of the story, they keep bottling it over and over again, no way will this team finish top 4 in this state.

I would not mind Liverpool and City winning their games and ending the fecking circus for us once and for all. Than at least we can start to focus on the EL which atm is our only realistic option of CL football anyway.
This is probably the first time I agree with you but I hope so too.

Smalling, Jones, Shaw. Good luck at your new clubs

Mourinho was really pissed off with the situation, Shaw injurred again, saying 3 times in a cynical way it has to be an important injurry. I think Jose will give him a very hard time to say the least.

He didn't want to comment on Jones and Smalling, I think he is massively disappointed with these 3 players.

I would be more than happy to see the back of all 3, not United players as far as I'am concerned. For all the stick someone like Fellaini gets, he gives atleast everything on the pitch and he is available to play minutes if you need him. But these 3, always injurred, always excuses, always something, but never ever do they contribute anything for United on the pitch.

They can go, they don't deserve the batch.

Our Attack really is so inept. They could have killed the game off but fecked it up as usual. Story of the season. I wish we'd just change the majority of our attackers next season. Players like Lingard and Martial cannot complain they haven't been given chances. Especially Lingard who's a very limited player and should not be starting games for Man Utd.

I still cannot believe the club gave him a 100k a week contact.
That is embarrassing

the terrible dive from Rashford is quite interesting because there was some contact, albeit after he's airborne, perhaps he is anticipating this contact & trying to avoid the reckless challenge of the GK, who then tries to pull out

it's all a bit confusing isn't it?

If our kids will play with more heart than the first team players then we're in a big trouble, mate.

Jose wants players who are going to run through walls for him which is why he praised Mata. Smalling and Jones a) haven't really trained on in 5-6 years they've been here and b) he obviously doesn't feel they're doing their upmost to lay their bodies down for the club. Enough is enough.

Well we are tired and injured and i think most players played within themselves to save themselves for El. I think the number of games has fecked us over and the injuries too. I think we need to make it a 3 game season and forget the league.

Lingard is a nothing player when the heat is on. He is the kind of player that could score in a cup final but over the course of a season he brings nothing to the team. Poor decision giving a player like that a bumper contract. He will sit in like a tick until a loan move somewhere.
I also have to take issue with Herrera. He is not the player most people think he is. He has a few big performances but in games like these, which is 75% of the league he can't take control. I'm kind of sick of his immediate pass back to the player who gives it to him. He has time to turn and quickly eliminate three players but just fecking passes it back.
This was the opportunity for these players to put in one final push yet Rooney, Martial, Lingard and Herrera feck it up. I don't know how these players are fatigued since they hardly play except Lingard who is vey unfit for a professional athlete.
Disgusted about today, a win would have set us up nicely for our last four games, putting the pressure on the teams around us.
